Halo 5 aircraft 360 degree movement physics?

Remember back in Halo Reach, during the space battle sequence, where you could turn every which way you wanted? Like, you could fly upside-down, sideways, and so on. The same goes with Battlefield and how you control jets.

I wish they added that sort of movement to the Banshees and Phaetons in Halo, where you could turn any way you want and still be able to control the thing. Because, currently (as well as past Halo games), you could only move in a 180 degree angle forth. It’d be cool to have three-dimensional 360 movement with all aircrafts.

The photon is a “helicopter” type vehicle, it’s not supposed to be able to do back flips and somersaults.
Also, the reason air vehicles have seemingly basic movements is so they’re easy to use and accessible to all players; there’s not supposed to be a whole lot of skill involved in simply flying them around. If they took hours of practice just to steer, nobody would use them.

Aircraft don’t really work that way

When in comes to jets, yeah, they do.

inb4 “THAT’S NOT HALO!!”

But tbh, the current controls works well for Halo. ‘360’ degree controls would be better for dogfights, but worse for air-to-ground attacks. Also Phaetons are like vtol gunships, they’re not meant to fly like jets.

I’d be down for banshee to do this!
