The auto aim is atrocious! This game takes no skill too be good at, as long as you are aware of where people are you can get kills. There is no aiming in this game. It is pointing the cursor in the enemy’s direction and letting auto aim get the head shots for you. I’m not one of those people trying to put the game down just because I am an old school fan boy. I have about 8 days put into this game. I have seen some crazy -Yoink- go on in a game. Shots around corners, through walls, missed shots getting kills etc. I’m done with this game and its terrible mechanics.
Goodbye, hope you find a game you like more.
BTW just to be nitpicky, I think you have auto aim and bullet magnetism confused. H5 has little auto aim but a great deal of magnetism.
Ninjas are everywhere, Nilniuq.

The man ninja’d me
The bullet mag needs to be toned down a little especially on the sniper.
They probably had to compromise with more magnetism due to less auto aim for the lower skilled players since it would most likely be very hard for them to get a kill if both were minimized.
Just look at his hit percentage with the br and pistol. Would seem perhaps he could use a bit more auto aim.
It’s bullet magnetism not auto aim. There is very little auto aim in the game.
The sprint is literally telling the public that Halo 5’s aim mechanics are dumbed down to make it easier for noobs.

That’s been thrown around like it means something. The ranges of those circles are very similar to the ones used in every other Halo. The only way they majorly differ is the reticle slowdown is greater and the adhesion is stronger in 5.
The bullet magnetism shown is much less than most other Halos. Halos 2 and 3 would look like nooblet titles if you could see the same debug screen.
5 simply changed the balance of sticky aim and bullet magnetism. I’m not a fan of the increased sticky aim, but at least your cursor has to be mostly on the enemy before hits register.
As far as the actual aim mechanics, they seemed to want to cater to [CE] pros, and somehow botched the controls. 5’s overall acceleration is far more inconsistent than 4’s was, and that’s after the patch.

I think you nailed it here. The inconsistent aim acceleration coupled with the increased adhesion makes a player “fight” the mechanics. This is why I do better with acceleration turned down. I fight through the stickiness and over accelerate my aim. I also find its performance inconsistent.

This is my hell right here. My cursor flies off the target when the aim assist dies with them.
I’m not a fan of aim assist in general, partly because it does train players to overshoot to counter the cursor slowdown(which reduces their ability to be accurate without it), but 5’s slowdown is terribly bad. Any adjustments while on-target is work.
The bad acceleration is just the icing on that poo cake.
No problem for me
I noticed how bad it was when I was shooting someone and another player jumped right in front of my reticle. Before I knew it, my reticle had a mind of its own.
Also my aim sensitivity is at 1 yet it feels like 5.

Might as well just cement you thumbsticks…
