In halo 5, I have been noticing the ads a lot and I don’t know how I feel about it.
One question I have is that is it like call of duty left trigger ADS, or traditional halo right stick scope but with just a new format?
Please answer.
Thanks.

ITs not quite ADS from other games. Its Halos take on it…its just a zoom function with the scope added. IT looks similar to ADS, but its not. Although it does scream ADS…

So it is still basic halo zoom controls?
I’m not gonna lie, I kinda like ADS…
I like the look of the aiming system, to me it looks more realistic. and from what I’ve seen the controls are different but It’s mostly because of the new things you can do. but you’ll probably still be able to change them to your liking, like in the other halo titles.

It’s not really any different to how zoom always has been in Halo (don’t let these idiots that have never played it and have only seen some footage online tell you any different) aside from the fact that you can now do it with every weapon if you want.
And yes, you do use the left trigger to ADS.
The controls are a little strange at first. I play using bumper jumper normally, but that layout makes Halo 5 virtually unplayable, so I ended up sticking to the default and eventually got used to it.

who are you to call people idiots when you don’t know them. and I’ve played all the halo games for the consoles so I know how the zoom function works.

Did I call you an idiot?
No I didn’t. Maybe you should learn to read, and comprehend, properly before replying.
And have you played the Beta?
I don’t need to know somebody to know they’re an idiot if they’re saying that ADS feels different to zoom and because of it Halo 5 is not a true Halo game, when they have not even played the beta.

kinda hard to play the beta when it’s not available to every one until Dec 29 dude. (but you shouldn’t call people idiots because of their opinions, and giving some crap because they may have a reading and comprehending problem isn’t cool because a lot of people do have that.) I was going by what I’ve seen in the sprint videos for the beta, from what I’ve seen instead of a instant zoom like in the other halo’s, the gun moves and you look through the sight itself like in real life.
on a side note how come some people have been able to play the beta already but other people have to wait until December 29th?

It was only available to people that are in the Xbox Preview Program. The program is for beta testing the dashboard software, not games, so the Halo 5 beta was a total surprise when they sent out the messages informing us of it.
Believe it or not, there area lot of people that have played the beta at this point and they are the only ones that can comment on how it plays and feels, but there’s even more people out there that are doing exactly that when they haven’t played it. There’s hundreds of threads on here started by people that haven’t played it yet but still think they’re qualified to complain about things that they have not played for themselves. Watching somebody play the game over twitch is not the same as playing the game.
Therefore, I still stand by my idiots comment, as only idiots purport to have sufficient experience to constantly complain about the game without having ever played it.

I agree with you, I’ve been just talking about what 343 has been showing on their halo channel, I’m not complaining, it looks like it’s going to be fun to play. the people complaining should just shut up and wait till they play it for themselves.
both, but they can descope you
