I want to hear your guys opinion on this.
As long as it’s just today, that’s fine. If it’s keeps dropping in the next month then we have a problem.
You do realize the most played list changes constantly depending on population right? Also no a game doesn’t have to be “popular” for me to love and play it. H5 has been awesome. Halo will never be a top game anymore due to its higher learning curve. You can’t just pick up Halo and be successful or even good at it. It takes time and practice and most gamers today don’t like that. They want to pick up a game and be good and successful right away or they give up on it. But all this population debate is just diva posturing IMO
To be honest, Halo has been heading more and more towards becoming a niche title for a while now. It’s simple not a mainstream shooter anymore.
It’s to be expected with Fallout, COD, Battlefront, and Tomb Raider dropping all in the space of a few weeks. Also I’d imagine that 6 gig patch prevented many from playing the game for a while.
People need to stop putting so much thought into these popularity lists. If you enjoy the game and you think it’s fun, why does it matter where it ranks on a list with other completely unrelated games? Had this game dropped with the release of Xbox One, it probably would’ve held the #1 spot for the majority of the One’s lifespan up to this point. The popularity of a game on the “most played” list is far more circumstantial than anything. There have been a few major and hyped up releases recently (most notably Fallout 4 and Star Wars Battlefront), so you can’t expect any game to stay at the top for long. It’s not a reflection on Halo 5 at all, really.

^^^this. Big titles have all been packed so close together that players will be jumping game to game for a while. I’d like to also add like one has stated, the top played list constantly changes so you’ll see h5 jump around just like the other games.
Its at 4 now it goes up and down all the time we all play a multitude of games its to be expected.
I’m genuinely surprised it’s even that high with how bad it is.

No, it was off the list completely all day. Then came at 9, and now it’s at 7. And this is the time it peaks in population which is why it randomly rose again.
During the day on weekdays, it’s at its lowest. Which it retained 3rd place up until a few days ago. At nights, it goes up. On Saturday and Sunday nights, THAT’S when it really peaks, but even then, this past weekend, it only hit number 4. I don’t think it’ll even reach that high this weekend.
Can someone tell me where this list is located?
A lot may be trying out battlefront, plus Fallout 4 is still new. Also, it’s Iron Banner week so a lot are playing that.

Is it so important that you’re constantly watching it? Out of curiosity, no hostility intended.

You have to be on your Xbox One:
-Go to store
-Go to games
-Go to browse all games
-Scroll down to see the “Most Played Games” list, which lists the top 10 played games on Xbox One at the moment you’re checking.

Xbox store games. Find the list that says “top played”

Oh no, I’m not really constantly watching it. I find myself casually browsing the games marketplace once in a while when I want to see what games and DLC are out, and I notice it there. Only once in a while do I actually intend on checking the list. Today was a lazy day, too. Haha.
I’ve also just noticed patterns as I’ve seen the list throughout the past month. And it’s just a normal pattern for any game: Most population at nights; peak population on weekends.
Well it might not be the best (as other people say)

Lol ok, whatever you say…
It’s 9? Wow I am really surprised. I guess Halo is doing well and the community is still supporting the game. I did not expect them to fae so well with COD, Destiny, etc out since they are bigger games with Destiny being rated a lot higher.
Being 9 is a solid rating and good for the Halo series as it shows some people still support it.

…in your opinion.
