Halo 5 3 Map sizes.

My idea today is that in Halo 5 there should be 3 different map sizes:

Close Quarters: maps like epitaph, Midship, Sword Base Etc.
Medium Sized: maps like Blood Gulch, Exile, Sandtrap Etc.
Mega Maps: maps like the halo custom Edition maps, Forgeworld etc.

Close Quarters should not have vehicles at all.
Medium Sized should have the most common vehicles such as warthogs and banshees.
Mega Maps should have larg vehicles like dropships, fighters, mammoths, and scarabs.

So what do you think give diversity do map size or keep em small?

If you want to maximize map diversity you shouldn’t keep to any size classes at all (each should be its own individual type.) However if you want to create a more controlled for focused environment into which you can more easily hone sandbox elements and gameplay mechanics, creating distinct map groups would probably be a good idea.

I think that you and I have a fundamental difference of opinion in map sizes.

Halo 4 had good sized with small, medium and large. That said, re-design them for better flow and add maybe 2-3 HUGE maps for badass vehicular combat!

Medium maps and BTB maps (large) are too different to be in the same catagory. If anything it should be:

Small
Medium
Large
Huge

But even then I’d rather maps just be what ever they are and not have to fully comply by any of the groups if it would work better.

Big maps would amazing on halo but you would need a lot more people do get the full potential out of them 32-64 people would be a dream come true, personally I want more variety in maps, not for size even thought that would be awesome as it would enhance the chaotic experience that is halo multiplayer but for more different styles of maps like a linear bridge map were you have nowhere to go but forward towards the enemy, to a complex map like maze where you don’t know what could be round the corner
