Halo 5 1440p from March Xbox one X OS update?

Hey all,

As the title says, does Halo 5, for the next 6-12 months (until Halo 6) support actual 1440p output, or is it interpolated as per previous efforts when connecting to 1440p monitors?

Any info would be greatly appreciated as it is a deciding factor for my next monitor purchase.

Thank you for your response in advance

Hope this part helps.

As for halo 5, well if you have an Xbox one x, it will just supersample down to 1440(which i imageing looks just as good as super sampling 4k diwn to a 1080p tv) If you have an s it will just upscale to 1440.

If you have a launch consol, it doesn’ support it.

Cheers. In testing on both my 1440p monitor 27 inch and my 1080p 24 inch, both with my XBoneX for supersampling, 1080p looks extra crisp but still has PPI issues with recognising targets on BTB maps. 1440p monitor set with 1440p in the XBoneX video settings obviously still supersamples 4k down to 1440p which looks WAY better than the old XBoneS upscale, however it is still softer than expected. The PPI is higher which makes long range targets more visible between other objects yet there is a softness to the whole package. I think it is time I bought a 4k 75hz monitor.
