HALO 4s UNZOOM

In my opinion the unzooming effect when getting shot at is what is holding this game back from its true potential. Undoubtably unzooming bring less of a competitive feel and adds slower paced gameplay. Previous Halos have always have never had this why start now? I believe this is making sniping way to easy and Gun battles extremely hard to win when you are down a shot. Please keep the comments respectful this is just my opinion.

Yup, once somebody starts cross mapping you there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop them except die.

Halo has always had unzoomed effect when getting shot, plus there is a specialization that stops that, but in a way its sorta annoying and such.

I see how some players hate it but i like it simply because if i get shot from a guy camping across the map, i can use cover and get my shields back then shoot that person back.

And how is not scoping out after getting hit stopping you from doing this in the past? Hear me out here. In past Halo’s say you get hit from across the map, you identify the shooter and scope in to land a single shot on him to knock him out of scope so you can make it to cover as he tries to scope back in.

This new mechanic with flinch is awful I think. Don’t get me wrong, i’m getting used to it, but its a randomness I don’t like. Just like “bloom” in Reach.

One last thing: Scoping out when hit made combat a lot tighter. There were more mid-range engagements because those who could not scope back in fast or shoot without a scope simply closed the gap on gun battles.

Now all you have is people sitting by rocks on Ragnorak sniping across the map with DMR’s without the fear of getting scoped out. Personally I think flinch should be removed and scope out when hit brought back in. In my eyes this is one thing that is holding this game back from being amazing.
