Yes they have been for some time now, close to a week. I believe it likely has something to do with the flight programs for Halo Infinite. Hopefully with this flight ending tomorrow the servers will come back online
Definitely am not able to access multiplayer or Spartan Ops. The message at the bottom says “Information could not be retrieved from Xbox LIVE”. I’ve tried it on both the xbox one s and xbox one x. Do we have an ETA on when Halo 3, Halo 4, and Halo Reach online multiplayer will be fixed? 
Trying to complete the games before they sunset.

Reach I at least know for sure still works fine. I play everyday to hit the Cr cap. Hopefully I max out in the next two weeks
Well Halo 4 appears to be down for sure. I have NO idea what the Halo Infinite “flight programs” means if anyone wishes to enighten me BUT not exactly sure how/why that affects Halo 4 servers (am playing on Xbox 360).
I just want to play Spartan Ops - why on earth would you put a “campaign” style game mode in multiplayer I have no idea!

Halo flight is a test, they are bringing out a new game halo infinite and were letting gamers test it to check for issues and improvement. The test had server issues and failed to launch on time which may have effected it. Also during this time Halo support would be flooded with 1000s of tickets to help improve their upcoming game so legacy games seem to have been disregarded.
So “flight = beta”? What a weird name. I am getting too old and annoyed with gaming methinks. But thanks for the clarification.
Still find it weird that a 9 year old game doesnt have stable servers - not like they bringing out new content or anything.
Just wanted to update and say that I completed Reach and it’s MP achievements at the end of August! Took a bit for the MP servers to start working again, but I knocked out Spartan ops and wrapped up any last MP ones I had. It should be working, but like most of the halo 360 games, connection issues have been pretty common. Also, avoid cross-console play. Have your group all be on xbox one’s or all be on 360s to reduce connection drops!
