Halo 4's Recruit Helmet

When you first saw it what did you think it looked like.
I thought It looked like an new version of the ODST helmet.

it looked like they tried to combine the odst and spartan helmet in one.

I thought it looked like my new favorite helmet.

It looks like a cooler, slightly-modified ODST helmet.

Yet people will still complain no EXACT ODST helmet is in the game.

i dont mind not having ODST gear, it isnt spartan gear, so why have it
i just want Mark V

I thought that it looked rather bad, too blocky for my tastes. I still can’t say that I like it much.

My thoughts on the recruit helmet is that it’s a more “traditional” design that looks out of place in Halo 4. Would have been right in line with Reach’s kit. I like it, nothing radical but sturdy looking. A bona fide mass produced soldiers helmet.

Never thought about the ODST analogy, but I see it now.

Almost this. Mjolnir Mark V still remains my one and true favorite.

I thought it was pretty dope for a starter helmet. I just wished it was so much harder to get the helmets!

I think Recruit looks fine. It looks like Mark 5 (B) + ODST.
However alot of us STILL want the proper ODST helmet, and ODST shoulders and chest. Why they are not included, not only in the armory but the game is upsetting.

Remember one of the first trailers of halo 4? ‘I was put into service 8 years ago’? I would pause it at the point when chief turns and think,‘those are some great looking odsts’.
No ODST here, but i don’t care. I think that recruit will be fine until Halo 5.

I have always preferred the look of the ODST helmet. While I like Halo 2’s ODSTs more than Halo 3 and Reach’s, the angular design of the Recruit helmet is nice.

I thought the same thing.
I actually used Recruit for quite a while before eventually switching over to FOTUS.
