Halo 4's Playlist Lineup

The Playlist lineup I’d like to see is this.

EDITED: My perspective has changed given a better understanding of the game what it faces, thus so has my preference for the lineup.

How about we just let 343 do their thing.

> How about we just let 343 do their thing.

I’m not stopping them, are you?

Im sick of having just one classic playlist… and people wonder why it has a low population in reach

Make every playlist classic halo and one playlist with 343 new gameplay and see how well that goes

I’d prefer slightly less playlists and a more dedicated Classic part.

Ranked - 1-50, no drop-in/out.

  • Lone Wolves (Traditional 1v1v1v1v1v1v1v1)
  • Team Slayer (Standard 4v4)
  • MLG (4v4)
  • Team SWAT (4v4)
  • Team Doubles (2v2)
  • Team Objective (4v4, specifically Objectives)

Social - Drop In/Out enabled.

  • Rumble Pit (Traditional FFA with more “social” gametypes.)
  • Social Slayer (5v5)
  • Multi Team (2v2v2v2v2)
  • Big Team Battle (8v8)
  • Social Skirmish (5v5 Objectives)
  • Grifball (4v4)
  • Infection

Classic - No drop in/out. 1-50. Classic Gametypes. Supported as much as Ranked/Social

  • Classic TS (4v4)
  • Classic FFA (8-player FFA)
  • Classic Objectives (4v4)
  • Classic BTB (8v8)
  • Classic Doubles (2v2)
  • Classic MLG (4v4)

Grifball and Infection don’t need their own playlists. Go back to double exp

@Curmudgeonist

Why does the Classic Playlist get a 1-50 ranking system? Doesn’t that simply indicate they should be included in the Ranked Playlist? …Why give them their own playlist?

Because I firmly believe that the Classic playlist should not limit it’s players in any way. Though it’s not a solid, thought-out list, just something I typed up as I went along so there’s probably things in there that I myself might not 100% agree with.

> Community Customs: Uses a different kind of “Join Active Session” MM system. Allows players to post their custom game to the public. Making it available for a group or even single players to simply join the game. A search system would have to be developed for searching for specific “open” custom games… the hoist can elect to boot players and “close” the lobby from being searched by the public whenever they want. These games do not count towards your character’s statistics, nor do they provide any type of progression experience.

> To note: The Community Customs may not work out if they detract too many players away from the primary playlists, but I wouldn’t think that would be the case.

Agreed and i really hope 343 brings the 1-50 ranking system cause it keeps players playing

And to all the people that don’t like it there is such a thing called social play-lists so shut up and go play those
