Halo 4's new music without Marty.

We’ve only got one sneak peak of the new music to come in Halo 4, which can be heard here. This music was in the Concept Art Trailer that 343 released earlier in the year. Despite it’s differences from the Halo music we’re used to hearing, I’m liking it so far. I know it’s too early to tell whether the music will be good, but I do like this particular “song”. What are your thoughts and what kind of music would you like to see?

It would be fitting if ever ran into any scary monsters or nice sprites.

I can see Sotaro pushing into the areas of Halo CE and ODST’s soundtrack where it’s based much more on the ambience and atmosphere of the environment you’re in. I have high hopes.

Thus far I am impressed. It is a new trilogy so I can accept that the music has to change a lil. As long as he keeps core elements of it still intact I’ll be happy. He told the audience at a panel he wants to make us cry, sounds good to me:)

The Concept art trailer was a good way of showing 343i knows what they’re doing with the sound department for the new Halo trilogy.

Lulz.

OT: I like the music aspect so far. It did sound alright. I’m just afraid the love in it will die. Marty used to make all the sounds and music in his own studio. Skull crushing? He beat a metal pipe on a cabbage. According to the Audio director on Halo 4 he seems to be getting REAL sounds, which in MHO doesn’t sound too great to me. I enjoyed the music don’t get me wrong, but I feel the love was taken out if he’s really going to the end of the world just to get waterfall noises.
