Hello people =]
This thread is just what i think this game seriously needs to succeed for a long period of time. I love halo 4 and i feel like it has so much potential and i think it could be better then halo 2 imo.
This thread will list things that i find crucial for halo 4’s longevity of the matchmaking.
Halo 4: Necessities
- A Visible Ranking system - This is so crucial that it should have shipped with the game. Halo 4’s matchmaking gets repetitive and dull after you play a lot of it since there is no incentive to win.
Winning in halo 4 only gives you an extra 400xp to rank up which really means nothing since you have nothing to show for your wins which is why we need a ranking system.
The progression system in halo 4 is way worse then the one in halo reach. At least the progression system in halo reach took time and gave that sense of goal and dedication to rank up. Now the progression system means nothing in terms of skill because anyone could achieve the highest rank just from playing a lot.
Halo 4 needs a visible ranking system for the game to last a very long time. I honestly think halo 4 should have a social and ranked playlist similar to halo 3.
- In-depth Playlists - Halo 4 imo has the worst playlist to choose from. They separated so many playlist thinking that more people would play exactly what they wanted to play.
We need playlists to suit every players needs. Objective gametypes should all be in one playlist with one of each objective gametype as a selection. 343i seriously needs to bring back BTB CTf. BTB assault, BTB territories, Double team, team snipers, action sack, fiesta, team training and clan battles from halo 2.
Also a dire need for halo 4 is a CLASSIC Playlist. This is a thing that so many players want including me. I want a gametype that just have simple loadouts and no AA with pick-ups/weapons on map. Also i would like to see a classic CTC and many other classic objective gametypes.
These are just a few examples that halo 4 needs.
- Title Update (game changing)- Halo 4 needs an overhaul for many things that need fixed. There are numerous things in this game that needs fixed.
Things that needs fixed/changed
- file search
- Boltshot needs nerfed
- Aim assist & magnetism needs toned down to
increase the skill gap. - PP shouldnt be a Loadout weapon along with Plasma
grenades - BR either needs buffed or DMR needs nerfed
- Make splatter actually harder to achieve
- Reduce splash damage for explosive type weapons: takes no skill
with rockets or tank to actually kill someone - Ordnance Weapon displays showing different weapons
- Banshee needs the backflip fixed when you turn right after. Results
in turning in the opposite direction or a 360. - Invis not showing up on radar sometimes
etc… - Invis shouldnt be a AA
- Add OS and Invis as a pick-up
- Ordnance dorps needs to be less random and more predictable
Will add more when i think of them
- Vehicles - The vehicles in this game are completely ruined because of the Plasma pistol and plasma grenades being a loadout weapon choice. They need to be remove in playlist where vehicles are highly used.
Vehicles need buffed because their health is too low if they dont remove the PP or plasma grenade being obtain at the any given time of the match. This only gives a noob an advantage that takes no skill at all ( EMP + 2 plasma grenades ).
Vehicles are supposed to take team work to take out and takes some skill to destroy. One person shouldnt be able to kill a vehicles with hardly any effort at any given time of a match unless they picked up the weapon on map or in a ordnance drop.
I miss when vehicles were fun to drive and not having the worry to die in 3 seconds from leaving your base.
Vehicle indicators: These arrows on the map that tell you where an enemy vehicle is located only removes that team work of telling your team where it is. Being on the radar at all times is really lame and gives away any plan of surprise.
- Ordnance drops - They really need to be less random in infinity type gametypes and should only be achieve from doing well. Players being able to get a incineration cannon from getting assists and distraction medals takes no skill and is not fair to those doing well.
Players should know what their ordnance drops are and should be somewhat predictable. The ordnances should be in stages 1 through 3. 1 being simply things that are decent to get with the other 2 getting better things as you slowly get to stage 3 where you could get rockets, incineration cannon or binary rifle.
