Hello all,
Has anyone else noticed some music in the game that isn’t on the soundtrack? I can’t point to specific examples in the game but I’m just wondering if any other music fans may have noticed this?
How about the previous Halo themesong that plays when SPOILER you come out of slipspace and see the Halo ring? I don’t remember that being in the soundtrack

Music from the game/film is always missing from the soundtrack. It’s the norm and I’m not surprised that it’s the same with Halo 4. I’m a soundtrack freak and I always finding myself digging deep to find complete scores. I hope 343i comes to their senses and releases the complete score, but judging on how they’ve handled the rest of Halo 4, I doubt it will happen.
What is missing is the COMPLETE LACK of audio options.
I can’t turn down sound effects and turn up the music like every other game? Why not!?

Yup, a lot of tracks in game but not on OST. I’m counting on Tridyrium to get it all on Youtube! He has some already.
It is dissappointing, but if that’s how they’ll be I’ll rip the tracks not on OST off of Youtube. It’s not stealing if you can’t buy it.

Did we not pay for the rights of the music via the game? We’re not modding the music, we are just listening to it from another source originally from the disc.
Or something like that, either way I think it is legit if we save the songs to computer. Of course posting on Youtube is sharing it publicly, which is a no-no. . but probably the only way I’ll get the music that isn’t on the Soundtrack that I was previously more inclined to buy. .

I was disappointed with how they handled the music in game, there were a few pieces that were amazing. But Awakening was barely in it, one of the best songs. A lot of the songs were kinda jumbled it seemed
The music when you assassinate the first Elite in the first mission Dawn. When you see all the covenant ship by the window. I love that track but they didnt put it in for some reasons
There was a topic on the General discussion i think that had a link to an article that said Neil was working on OST VOL 2 for Halo 4. If the thing was serious, then some of the missing songs are going to be in the VOL 2 hopefully.
I actually wish this game included the original Halo theme, we only hear it briefly on the Composer.
The music that is “missing” from the Halo 4 OST will be included in the Halo 4 Volume 2 OST.
