Halo 4's music and Neil's approach

We all know Halo is widely known and appreciated for it’s music, and that a lot of people have been nervous about the responsibility of it being passed to someone else, myself included.

After listening to some of the new and old Halo 4 tracks released so far I can safely say that nerve has been calme;, Neil has respected Marty’s work and adapted it whilst bringing a fresh approach to it as well. As a musician myself I recognise it is much harder to adapt something than to make something original, because there are many guidelines to follow.

I can’t believe how good it sounds, there is a track called ‘Revival’ which is most likely related to the Didact being brung back to life and/or making his first appearance, and I think the track is perfect for the scene, have a listen!

agreed … revival is my favorite so far

It is very much Halo music, I like it. The day they turn Halo music into church choir musoc is the day we’ve got a problem(If ever).

I, too, am absolutely loving the music so far! To Galaxy is my favorite, with Revival being a close second.

Can’t wait to see all of this amazing music alongside the beautiful graphics and epic scenes

Neil is definitely doing some awesome work with the Soundtrack. Can’t wait to see how it’s put into play with the game.

I love this music!

It’ll probably be heard in the background while you play the game.

Haha I’m just messing with you.

Awakening is the only one i like all the others are not good imo. Neils music dosnt seem to be help create an identity for halo 4 like the way marty’s music for halo 1-3.

None of Neils music dosnt seem to sick out and it’s not the type of music that will be memorable to me. I really hate to say it but for me Neil Davidge has been massive let down.
