I feel the biggest contributor to the lack of players on H4 is us. I’m a fan of Halo and had doubts of this game as well. Criticism is alright until it turns into trolling and thread bombs. A community is one of the key ingredients to making the game great. Too many of us, me included, were either setting too high of expectations or too low and not enough of the " oh I wonder what they are going to do next" talks.
Then again I do see the issues with the games but lets all remember this, it’s 343i first Halo game and taking over the Reach servers doesn’t count. Also besides CEA since that was just the first halo. You have to base the game off like its a fresh series.
For truly is Halo 4 the first with bugs because that’s all I’m hearing no one mentions the fact that Reach was made completely different than 3 made by Bungie yet still Bungie was a God to us. If you all truly want change you need the community on your side not just threads galore. So please be a community the right way and let’s help 343i with this child like a parents helps its kid. For yes they make the game but we are the ones who buy it.

First paragraph: But I really doubt that Halo 4 was the first game for those involved in the direct making of the game. Another thing also, a game is a game, doesn’t matter if it’s the first one or tenth.
Second paragraph: You’ve either not been reading that much or not looked at all, several people on this forum mention the differences between Halo 3 and Reach.

All due respect, but I’m getting so tired of the argument that this is 343’s first Halo game.
First of, many of the employees are former Bungie employees, so this is not their first Halo game.
Second, the amount of money Microsoft spent on making this game is through the roof, and far beyond the budget that went into a game like Halo 3 or LA Noire. Every studio can make a great game with a budget like that.
So they had the experience and they had the money, this being their first game as a studio is not an excuse.
You gotta base games for where they are Bungie made all the other Halos and then Reach comes along and nothing that I’ve read was their any flak for Bungie I mean they are adding CSR and doing DLC and some updates.

Bungie got major Flak for Reach so I don’t know what your talking about.

add me to that list, i don’t really complain about the game…normally i adapt to any title, is the only way to get better in it. and like u say, just need some fixes and nothing else.

Add me to the list to.The game is flawed but it’s a pretty good or great game. I can’t wait until the CSR releases. I also can’t wait until legendary slayer releases.

Actually not too many former Bungie members work at 343i. There were a lot of people pulled from various places. So actually this is for many of the members their first Halo game (save for CEA, but that was merely a remastering).

You’re not alone.
Does the game have flaws? Most certainly without a shadow of a doubt, but I still find it enjoyable.

You earned the Perfection medal of the debate. Well stated!
I feel that the biggest contributor to Halo 4’s downfall was 343 failure to follow through on everything that was promised pre-launch. Followed secondly by their failures post launch. Concluded with we the fans finally getting sick of said failures and leaving to greener pastures. Why should I stick with a game that is subpar in a market place full of AAA titles?
