Halo 4's campaign isn't the same without....

(possible spoilers below)

Sergent johnson, whether you liked his quotes or whether you liked running him over in a ghost or punching in in the back, you can’t deny he was the most memorable side-character in the series, chief/cortana just isn’t enough for me hell i’d even take arbiter back he was cool headed and serious but he was honorable and respectable and a great sidekick despite his bad reputation with both the covenant and the UNSC, if you think about it arbiter was probably the most knightly character in all of halo he helped the UNSC for his redemption despite knowing the UNSC would hate him but chief was cool with him.

it’s also the fact that they brought the elites back and they still treat them as monsters yet the elites gave their lives for the chief to stop halo despite being former enemies, yeah i know it’s a differrent covenant now but it just doesn’t feel right to just go in all guns blazing, perhaps diplomacy would be a better way, even though the chief doesn’t do diplomacy as he says in the campaign it would have been much better solution, heck they could have teamed up with the chief and fought against the prometheans, better than allying with the UNSC Infinity and that good for nothing del rio (that guy was an -Yoink-).

I still haven’t finished the campaign yet so maybe things will get better who knows?

please no spoilers.

The second I clicked this thread I knew we were about to discuss johnson :frowning:

Im still depressed he died… and by 343GS of all things to kill him…

Yes, Johnson dying is tragic. But I didn’t miss him in ODST, Reach or Wars. Nor was he THAT important in CE.

Also, Arbiter isn’t hated by the UNSC.

You should read some of the books.
These Elites aren’t the Elites we’ve had a truce with. These are a splinter faction of Elites and former Covies that try to find new religious purpose. To prove the core of the Covenant’s religion was righ, and to find an ally (Didact) to destroy mankind.
This isn’t the group that agrees with Arbiter. This isn’t a group that has even been positive about peace with humans.

Diplomacy doesn’t work on them.

I want Master Chief to get into a bind where he is JUST about to die, and at the last second another Spartan shows up and saves him. After a few missions the Spartan is revealed to be Sgt Johnson, who once again was able to survive somehow.

It won’t happen, but I’m cheesy like that.
