Halo 4's Campaign Enemies/Ideas/Who Comes to Help

What do guys think about the enemies that chief is going to face in Halo 4.

My ideas: The Forunners or The Precursors

The Aiders: Either The Arbiter accompanied by Rtas Vadum (a.k.a Half Jaw) or the U.N.S.C(that one was a no-brainer)

Same here dude, I’m really hopin its the Precursors

Primarily, the new ancient enemy. Along with Covies, Flood, and perhaps “hostile” Forerunners.

For allies? The UNSC, obviously, and maybe some of the Elites, along with “friendly” Forerunners.

Forerunners would not be the enemies they would be allies or observers and they chose to save the human race, why would they do that and then want to kill the master chief it makes no sense.

Enemies: Ancient evil
Neutral (neither ally or enemy. Self interest): Flood (feral), Cortana (if rampancy seen in anime is canon)
Allies: Covey Separatists, UNSC, Forerunner constructs

tl;dr : Rogue Forrunner as enemies , Elites as Allies.

I not sure about the Precursors , as I remember there was only one left and don’t know how long they live,
but i agree with your idea that the Forunners could be a likely enemy.

Maybe a group of Forunners that have been in cyro, since the Human-Forunner war,
therefor still hostile to human.

For the MC’s Allies id say its more likely to be The Elites, this is just speculation base on info from The Return animated comic.
Which is set 6 years after the Human Covenant war, with the elites are looking for Guidance.

At about 18:49 you can see a detail drawing of a monitor, so the humans must of found a monitor, on the planet for it to be so detail. The Elites may discover tthis monitor, which could of gave them the location of the Halo 4 setting.

The forerunners would be cool as enemies. It could go like this:

At the end of the Forerunner flood war a group of forerunners takes refuge in a shield world (See Ghosts of Onyx). Here they remain until the Ark is activated and the sheild world opens. There could be two forerunner factions within the refugees. One who wants peace and could potentally be an ally for humanity. The other faction could want to regain their rightfull place as the most powerfull empire and try to take over the galaxy. This could be good as a large scale war of humans/covies vs the forerunner faction could span several games. With the other forerunner faction deciding to join near the end of the war to help humanity.

All of you have great ideas keep it up!!!

Since I think it’s safe to assume that Humanity is likely out of reach at this point, and it’s been implied that the Covenant will not be making an appearance. Forerunners seem to be the most likely allies since they were the ones who saved humans from the rings’ detonation. They are portrayed as a peaceful race. It would corrupt earlier works to have them portrayed otherwise.

Precursors appear to be a promising foe. They are described as being aggressive and war-like. They could be aided by other species that existed at the time as well such as the Elders and the Hydras. So we could still have a vast array of enemies to battle in Halo 4

Though admittedly I wonder how they would incorporate an enemy possessing technology that has been continuously advancing over a period of several hundred thousand years AFTER they were already considered to be the most superior force in the galaxy. I mean, how would human weaponry even stand a chance against that?

> Forerunners seem to be the most likely allies since they were the ones who saved humans from the rings’ detonation. They are portrayed as a peaceful race.

The Forerunners are not PEACEFUL , yes they replanted the humans and all sentient life that was killed becasue of the activation of HALO.

but before that the Forerunners were after whiped out all remains of the Human Empire during the Human Forerunner war, then devolved the human race to stone age people.

> Forerunners would not be the enemies they would be allies or observers and they chose to save the human race, why would they do that and then want to kill the master chief it makes no sense.

Well, we DID go to war with them, they devolved us back to the stone age. We had to climb up the ladder again under their watch. And when the forerunners realized the true threat of the flood they made us, Humans, the reclaimers of the empire. THEN activated the halo arrays and wiped out all life.
I can see some of the forerunners having a grudge against the humans from the war. Forerunners DO live along time (thousands and thousands of years) and they have their slipspace cryo thingy’s. So it is possible some vets from the war still have a grudge.
But this is only speculation, and my canon is not the best :stuck_out_tongue:

EDIT: haha wow Twomey above me wrote pretty much the same thing… oops

We will fight The Precursors, that will come back cause The Ark is destroyed (along with the Flood too…their creation against The Forerunners), and they will be angry, very angry…

I think forerunners are unlikely foes due to the fact that they believe in the mantle (the believe that they are to protect all beings and no warfare)

> I think forerunners are unlikely foes due to the fact that they believe in the mantle (the believe that they are to protect all beings and no warfare)

Which as shown in Cryptum they really don’t care about, ie the Mantle.

This sounds like a god idea +1
