From what we have heard so far of the halo 4 sound, I am impressed. Davidge has done well with creating a new sound that still has the halo sound at it’s core. I have high hopes for the rest of the sound track and the future of the halo sound. I hope that if there is a halo 2 anniversary that davidge is at the helm for it. I want to hear more music from the halo 4 sound track, what about you?

Wow threadcromancy. Dead thread reanimated to life by a threadcromancer. Anyway yeah I think the Halo 4 soundtrack quite possibly the best but I have all the Halo soundtracks so I’m torn on this one.

I do agree that Halo 2’s soundtrack is best. Just saying that Halo 4 is a close second…
> Problem is you can barely hear it in the Campaign. Only time it’s a decent volume is the tank part of the mission on Infinity and near the last level.
Indeed. I have made a few posts about in here. That is huge minus to Campaign. These masterpieces are too silent to hear in action
I found the CD at walmat for $10. It was worth it.
15 tracks on the disk plus a code to download 6 more online, although they aren’t as good in my opinion.
I love the power of the lower brass and vocals and the way it builds up in most tracks.
My fiance said the other day it reminded her of Gladiator. I can hear that now that she mentions it.
It always sounded a bit more like the rebooted Battlestar Galactica to me. The female vocals are similar, and the music has that driving tone to it. NOt as many drums, though.
Overall I’d say it was good, and a nice change of pace. But not your traditional Halo sound. I’d like to see the Gregorian chants make a comeback… maybe blend the two?
