It is clear as water to me that a Halo game without a ranking system is the definition of a failure.

I dont like being matched up against kids who are of lesser skill than me any more than they like being dumped on.
Agreed. A ranking system is a must, something simple and effective, not Reach’s silly arena system. 1-50 had its issues, but I prefer those issues over not having a proper ranking system.
A skill based ranking system benefits everyone.
Lack of a skill based ranking system is bad for everyone.

There is no meaningful benefit of having the system go from 1-100 over 1-50 unless the game has a constant and extremely high population (which is won’t).
And that isn’t horn tooting worthy.
I wont play the game (or maybe not even buy it) anywhere near H1, H2, or H3 if there is no ranking system.

This completely, it simply is not fun playing uneven game after uneven game every time I mistakenly decide to play Halo Reach.
