Hah, says you. For all the commercials I’ve seen of Black Ops, it looks just like Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 1, 2 and 3, and Black Ops 1.
Plus, more than matchmaking is considered. Will they bring a story that we can’t find on FOX news?

They’re both progression based except Black Ops 2 now has a skill system.

Oh people will get both don’t worry about that. Still have to play the campaign in Halo 4. Hope they didn’t screw that one up as well but probably not because they put all their effort into in and none into ranking system so it better be good.

If you honestly don’t have a reason to play a video game because it has no visible ranking system, just keep playing Halo 4.

No it’s not. Hardly any reviewers would give a damn about a game’s ranking system, and ignore the rest of the game. Halo 4 (while it may or may not win GotY) will surpass Call of Duty because it is more story driven, has months worth of free DLC missions, and has solid multiplayer.
You know, the way to get what you want from 343 is to argue a point well and to do it in a civil manner, not spam the -Yoink- out of their forums with inane topics bashing 343 hiding skill rank.

You need to stop watching the same commercial from 2007. Anyone can tell the difference between Black Ops and Infinity Ward’s games. While MW2 and MW3 may be samey, the Black Ops series at least tries out new things.
Black Ops 2 has potential to be a good game. I will probably still not buy it, but at least Trearch is trying to please their competitive community. Unlike another developer we all know.
