First off let me say i think the halo in general is the best game i have ever played. i love it. my friends and i have been playing for ten years. halo 1 on split screen/system link. when halo 2 came out, we started playing online and absolutely fell in love with it. played halo 3 online as well and loved matchmaking especially ranked and mlg. halo reach is a pretty good game and have been playing pretty much everyday on arena. just purchased the anniversary edition and was wondering if there is gonna b ranked arena on there?
ok i feel like im a hardcore halo fan. dont care too much about firefight and campaign all that much. i want action and play against competitive players. i have had to buy cod mw3 and battlefield 3 tho becuz the halo population has declined too much and they are pretty cool games but they are not halo, and doesnt take as much skill to be successful imo.

make jetpack a pickup instead of loadout. i hate it but i understand some people like it. it sux tho when a team of 4 all have jetpack and u constantly have to look up. takes away having to get map and weapon control. also its not fair u can reload and jp but not reload and sprint.
what is up with a 500 population in arena, but there is 5000 playing living dead. seriously why would u even play
that being said i hope i dont have to wait for halo 4 to come out to actually be able to find a game on ranked.
prett depressing u have to wait so long to find games these days and usually u have to play the same people over and over.
halo 4 wishlist
instead of needle rifle, bring bak the br and have the dmr as well
on loadouts have it where u can pick between the dmr or the br, bring back the smg as well.
customize loadouts, if u want ur back up weapon to be an assault rifle or pistol or smg.
everyone starts out sprint, have jetpack, evade, holograms as picksups.
implement both halo 3 and halo reach ranking systems. 1-50 for personal skill and divisions for w/l ratio. mlg ranked, ffa, team arena, doubles
4.unranked- social 4v4, big team, multiteam. i think thats enough unranked

Edit: Ohhh. I missed a bit of this. Loadouts are not good. Jet pack as pick up is fine if it is going to be around but I would rather all AA’s gone. No sprint at all, it’s not Halo.

It’s not hated for being unskillful. No one plays it for it’s competitive merit. Infection is pretty much a mini game away from the traditional competitive Halo gametypes. Some people just don’t enjoy it.

Your now talking to the player who plays MLG 3 - 5 hours a day for practice with his team, that why, if I can’t practice I get cranky, and If I can’t practice in it I dislike it.
yeah i know having aa’s around isnt halo but i dont think they are goin anywhere. and hey im all for getting rid of jetpack. i hardly ever use it and it has pissed me more than anything on halo reach, but if it has to be around id rather b a pickup. if i do use it, then its cuz everybody else in that certain game. i use bumper jumper, and use my pointer finger to sprint, jet pack etc. and shoot with my middle finger.
yeah i just dont like living dead cuz personally i just think its pointless. i think if ur gonna play a competitive game then u should be trying to get ur rank up and if not u should playing regular team slayer, mlg to get better when ur ready to play ranked. i understand some people like it. Just wish there were more people interested in arena, mlg. population sux in those two playlist. i just want to be playing for something if im gonna play. i want justice.
i agree with u kritical. practice to get better with ur team. my team and i always go thru customs, mlg, arena trying to figure out strategies etc. just a real competitive player who wants to play for a reason and have fun with it on ranked. thanx everyone for welcoming me

Halo needs to quit catering to the noobs and try to go back to the competitive side. It’s so sad that arena is the lowest population playlist day after day. If you have a team of 3-4 you sometimes cant even get a game. That right there should be a red flag that people arnt enjoying your game. I have had several nights where I have spend more time looking for a match in arena than actually playing. If they would make the settings more competitive then maybe some players would come back from bf3 and mw3 and play halo again. I hope that they can get it together. Hopefully someone is monitoring these forums and take our thoughts into consideration.
crackman- let me rephrase myself. i dont care for the campaign much anymore, becuz first of all ive played it so much. secondly i have gotten older and just care about the competitive side of the game. if im gonna play it i want justice and want to stand to be judged. like to know im playing for some kinda ranked.
one gram rillo- halo does need to quit catering to noobs. its gotten out of hand. pay more attention to the true loyal halo fans that have been around and know how the game should operate. wish they wld bring the old halo jump back. arena is a joke. the population is so low that u have to wait forever to find a game. sometimes me and my friends have halo sessions and half of the time we are searching for games. i got on cod the other and the pop. was 1.3 million players all together. about 600,000 of those player were playing ranked. no wait time which is awesome. bf3 and mw3 are great games but not halo. halo u have to be more skilled, have teamwork, and have communication. in cod everyone just crouches down. hopefully they will get it better son, if not…well…i dont know…
