> Microsoft president of interactive entertainment business Don Mattrick says Halo 4 will interact with Microsoft’s upcoming tablet computer, Surface. Exactly how the two will interact, however, remains a mystery. How do you think the two will interact. Do you think Surface or Smartglass will play support role towards viewing stats or do you think it will be something else?
Discuss.
i think to complete the game you will have to have the tablet
or
you cant skip the credits without it
At the E3 conference they showed how you could kinda sync the tablet with something else and use it with it. I think it was “Glass” I’m not sure though.
Probably very similar in function to the current app. but with better touch-screen interfacing.
Could maybe be used as a Forge help or an alternative Forge interface? I don’t know.

I think 343 might be making a upgraded version of Atlas that will be fully optimized to work on Surface, it might also be used to do non-combat things in Halo 4.
Also I don’t see 343 having SmartGlass functionality right out of the gate, but rather adding SmartGlass functionality post launch. (Through a Title Update or App).

Yes. It could interact with certain game modes in the game, like what ATLAS does on iOS, Android and WP7.
I’m sure this will be as fun as throwing a grenade with your voice…
The only good use for this I can think of would be if it makes forging maps significantly easier in some way. Let’s hope it’s not some distracting “scan” mechanic like the one shown during the smartglass segment Microsoft’s E3 press briefing. As long as they keep these superfluous features 100% non-essential, I suppose I shouldn’t complain though.
Just watch E3 microsoft, it explains most of it.
