Confirmed by MLG Sundance on Twitter.
Most likely will be black ops 2.

MLG signed it’s side of the console shooter deal for 2013. The game in the deal was not Halo. Once deal is countersigned we will announce.’

Thank you to all the people who contributed to the many amazing “I was there” MLG Halo moments. I mean it from the bottom of my heart.

So, what do you think? Halo has lost it, or a fresh start?
I’ll be honest, I don’t care.
I love watching competitive halo, so this sucks. MLG went with views and money, and COD is so much bigger then halo nowadays it’s not even funny.
COD is imo a VERY lame game to watch and is not a competitive game, but whatever brings in the money get’s a spot, makes good sense.
So does this still mean we are getting the mlg playlist… If not all hope i ever had of playing this game has just died.
Halo lost it, now the population is really going to nose dive.
Wake up, 343i. Wake up and smell the ashes.
I love how people get on MS and 343 for going after more money with the changes but when MLG does the exact same thing by going with BO2 everyone blames Halo. Money makes the world go around and no franchise can live forever in the spotlight.
I think we’ll see thousands of comments on their new videos saying ‘we miss halo’ or ‘please bring halo back’
In the meantime, 343 will have brought this game to scratch. Tbh i can understand why haven’t went with halo because of the state its in. But halo 4.5 will kick -Yoink- and they’ll regret being contacted to BO2
Well everyone can thank -Yoink!- Gaming and Microsoft for this. That’s the reason why Halo won’t be on the MLG circuit. 343 wanted Halo to be on MLG, but with the contract with -Yoink!-, it just didn’t happen. Not to mention that the game is terrible. Go play Halo 3 for a week, and then go back to Halo 4, it’s laughable how terrible it is compared to an almost 6 year old game. I’m still holding out hope they change it for the better, but it’s looking like having to wait until Halo 5, then will probably be disappointed again.
There is too much randomness in halo 4 to be competative(ordinances, loadouts, etc), halo 4 could easily be on the pro circuit but its just not ready, i believe the game needs adjustments and gametypes need to be perfected. I dont think halo 4 MLG is out of the question though. I do think mlg is a large factor in halo and i would not like to see it end, this should be one of halo 4’s major focus after the CSR is released.
Ahh stuff Black Ops 2. I honestly don’t see whats so great about that game. The Call of Duty franchise brings up the same old crummy game every year but with the dust blown off alongside some new gun and character designs. From my point of view it’s nothing but a trend. Eventually it will die out and people will wake up and realize that companies like Treyarch and Infinity Ward are ripping us off with the same old game all the time. It’s sad to hear that MLG are moving onto C.O.D but I have to admit I almost saw it coming. They just had to go where the money was didn’t they?
