Make sure they give us these large Forge maps like Forge World. So we can make these large scale maps. That are never going to work right because we don’t have enough people for it :frowning:
Also my hopes and dreams for epic Elephant battles are also ruined :frowning:

Could be a placeholder, but I doubt it. They need to increase it one day. Maybe for Halo 5 if it’s on the next Xbox.

I was hoping for 32 players. I mainly want 32 players for custom games. So I can make these epic large scale maps that would work right. Because there would be enough people for it.

Mine to. You can have 2 separate Big Team playlist.
Classic Big Team: 16 players.
Big Team: 32 players.

If you think about it. We could also have new vehicles available like the Trasporthog. It seats 5 people. With a team of a max of 8 people. Almost your entire team would be in that one vehicle. With 16 people on a team. You would have 5 in it, and the 11 rest would still be available.

Pelican:
-1 Pilot(Or the pilot can do both the piloting, and gunning.)
-1 Gunner.(If the pilot is not also in charge of the guns.)
-6 passengers.

Am I the only one who actually didn’t want the player cap for Halo 4 to raise? 16 works great for Halo games, which are designed to have maps that can work well for games of 8 players (4v4) or 16 players (8v8).

It depends. Did you spend hours making large scale maps. When it turns out they will never work right do to the player cap?

Nope, since I never designed a map that I knew would be too big for the amount of players the game can support.

Anything over, say about…18 players is too many for P2P connections in this current day and age.

Unfortunately, ^ this.
Even 8 players can be too many. Relying on P2P networking puts a huge constraint on how many people can be in a game. All those times it goes to black screen? Blame that on the P2P system.

I still remember when I first heard that Call of Duty 3 had 24 player matches and I was “OMGYES! all games are going to be like this one day” and they never did.

Pitty, I thought 24 worked well.

They could have at least made it 2-18.
