Basically the title was just designed to get attention. I know how ppl feel about Cod-like features possibly entering Halo. I have recently noticed a lot of other game references in these forums (GoW, Battlrfield, Mass Effect etc.). I don’t want Halo 4 to stray from the original ‘halo feel’.
Halo 4 should be a halo game, period.
But we haven’t even seen much gameplay yet.
Can’t we just wait for 343 to actually show their game off before we go making assumptions like this?
Halo 4 should be Halo not COD but, it also is nowhere near like COD.
ähm you know we are able to see 2-3 sentences in the “thread preview”?

It is not an assumption, just an observation that there has been a lot of other game references in these forums lately.
Thread title is troll worthy.
Will someone hand me a Battle Rifle so I can shoot myself in the head.

You got three shots. Count me in.
I was also making a point that I don’t want Halo 4 to be any more like GoW than CoD (or any other shooter for that matter).

good one

Yes I do realize this, but some people see a CoD or Reach reference in a H4 thread and freak. The community seems to be very polar like this.
I have seen a lot of GoW references lately. It seems as though ppl would rather have elements of GoW in Halo than elements of CoD. I personally would prefer if we did not see much of either.
This has nothing to do with 343. What they have shown us so far looks amazing and I cannot wait for ‘Holiday 2012’.
Besides both being FPS games what is similar about the two? If you ask me it was COD that copied Halo with Fileshare and Theater mode for Black Ops. And Elite for MW3 which is kinda like Bungie Pro. These are compliments to Bungie but they still copied.

I’m not actually sure. I’ve only played one CoD game (WaW) and while the campaign was fun, the multiplayer was anything but.

I played WAW multiplayer and the campaign. Only good thing about the game was zombies but it’s better in Blackops.
So you are judging the entire game on a 2 minute Behind the scenes video that had only about 40 seconds of gameplay?
Your argument is intresting.
> Halo 4 should be Halo not COD but, it also is nowhere near like COD.
Err. CoD is a class-based shooter. Halo has always been an Arena FPS. In Halo:Reach they added Load outs, a type of “class”. It’s turning into CoD, or at least class-based shooters more than you know.

Read the OP, and for the record it is a 4 minute video.

Guess I read that wrong…
