Halo 4 will be the death of Halo if it is anything like Reach.

Halo 4 will be the death of Halo if armor abilities are integrated into matchmaking.
If loadouts are implemented into matchmaking.
If bloom is implemented into the game.

Just finish the sentence. Halo 4 will be the death of Halo if Halo dies because of Halo 4.

Halo 4 will be the death of Halo if 343 doesn’t learn from Bungie’s mistakes, and doesn’t listen to the community.

> Halo 4 will be the death of Halo if it is anything like Reach.

Well people like the classic halo feel with just small changes, reach was more changes and little bits of classic feels

Textbook hyperbole. This is nearly as good as the guy who said Halo 4 would die if Elite armour wasn’t customizable.

Halo 4 will be the death of Halo if everyone makes stupid threads about How the game will suck, even tho it wont come out for a year.

Halo 4 will be the death of halo if 343 try to put things from other FPS games in. Like aiming down your sights, classes, gun customisation, and basically anything that steers in the direction away from classic halo with small changes.
Halo is meant to be everyone starts off equal, and from then halo happens, people get the power weapons, people jump high, people splatter people, people melee people, kills stolen, sniper headshots. good old halo

Well it is all personal isn’t it. If Halo continues to have such things then for some people that may be the end of it. They may stop playing the games because they don’t like the direction it has moved.

Chuck Norris comes around and gives it a roundhouse kick.

I hear you on that, it was alot of changes pretty fast, but i feel they were needed.
Reach works well for me, I love it and last thing i’d wanna see happen is for Halo to step back into how it was, For any game to be strong and successful it needs to move forward not backwards.

Up, not down? Always twirling, twirling towards freedom?

In all seriousness though, some of the changes in Reach weren’t necessarily steps forward, they were sidesteps. Bungie ventured towards a different style of FPS, and that’s fine for an experiment but Halo was always different from other FPSs and that’s one of the reasons many of us love it. If they continue including things like loadouts then there will be people who lose interest in the series, people who have been with it from the start.

A common misconception people make is that change always means progress. The game declined in popularity for a reason. The game didn’t change for the better, it changed for the worse. They didn’t take any steps forward. Like the guy above me said, they sidestepped, there was no progress, only change.

Okay, thanks for your input. It really adds some depth to the topic.

Look at Reachs dominate features, then look at its dwindling population a year after release.
Then look at halo 3, and its thriving population a year after its release.
The numbers are shocking. Aside from the external factors that may have contributed to the dwindling of reach, you still have to consider it isn’t even a quarter of halo 3’s population a year after.
And you wonder why I am worried for the future of the series?

halo 4 will be the death of halo if it plays to much like cod not halo

> Chuck Norris comes around and gives it a roundhouse kick.

You know what I was going to say, Halo 4 will die if another human being makes a Chuck Norris joke. I was actually considering that as my response but I respect you for writing it.
