For those who are worried that Halo 4 won’t be competitive enough, they just hosted an event in NYC for MLG so that they can test Halo 4.

343i letting them get their hands on the game this early defenitly put my mind at rest once and for all.
Not only this, but the MLG players said the game feels, looks and plays like Halo.

If MLG considered Reach competitive enough, I have no doubt Halo 4 will be. I think it’s awesome of 343 to allow MLG players to have a go at the game, if only they released the video of the matches they played to the public :(.

Someone had to come in here and be the first to compare it to COD. A thread around here wouldn’t be complete without it.
I don’t really care much for MLG, nor was I really waiting for their stamp of approval. But I’m relieved to hear from people that it still feels like a Halo game. If this is true.

Firstly, i dont really consider not bashing a game (they didnt exactly praise it, several MLG employees discussed their concerns for gameplay features) to be an approval.
Secondly, please to god dont start this rumor. Because once halo 4 is out and someone complains, they will say “wow mlg liked it now they complain they never be happy just whiners omg”
I just hope 343 implements a decent ranking system like they had in halo 2 to keep players playing and to the gamer’s that dont like the ranking system (1-50) there is such a thing called social game playlist’s so please be quite and go play those

the thing to take away is that they are comfortable with the game so far, and competitive players are still worried

No I have read that article, and made a post about it the second day of the review.
Also Killa KC is mocked by the MLG community to an extent, He isn’t exactly the greatest when it comes to how things should turn out as far as competitive game play is concerned.
Also like I said there is “pressure”, The more games sold the better it is for some of these people regardless of our experience.

i doubt 1-50 will make a return, but i also doubt that it will be more based in skill than reach

Halo 3 wasn’t balanced. The whole idea of the weapon system was that it was tiered. Anyone who had any skill at Halo would pick up a BR in a heartbeat over their starting AR. They wouldn’t even have to be that good with the BR, they could get by with only hitting half their headshots.

If strafing is possible then it will be an improvement over Reach.
