first of all I would like to thank 343i for continuing halo. now for my question… The halo 4 weapons are said to be customizable, but I want to know to what extent (differant scopes, underbarrels, ect like in COD)? or will it be just be colors or something like that.

If I do find customisable weapons I will be severely disappointed in 343i. To take halo so far away from its origins would indeed be a mistake. By all means put the 343 stamp on it but cmon Frankie, don’t take away halo’s unique traits. Don’t follow the CoD bandwagon.
Give me a Focus Pistol and I’ll be happy. But no custom weapons. Please 343. kthxbai.

I’ve watched the anouncment trailer and in my opinion it looks like there could be weapon attatchments or something as simple as primary and secondary fire modes. The pistol looks to have a grenade lancher attatchment, as the Chief blew the crap out of that barrier in front of him. Or mabe the grenade launcher feature is default on the pistol or mabe it’s a pickup that only has a limited amount of uses. Whatever the case it looks frickin amazing! Holy Crap!
Maybe you should be able to buy attachments for guns, but they don’t do anything? Like I could put a GL, and holographic sights on my AR but they don’t actually do anything?

I think 343 needs to stay as far away as possible from COD. Buying attatchments would not be Halo in my opinion and wouldn’t be fun. However, Primary and secondary fire for weapons would be amazing and would still feel like Halo, just more futuristic. This would be so cool!
343i seems like they want to keep as much of that “classic” feel to Halo as possible. From the Halo 4 teaser everyone is assuming weapon attachments, even though that hasn’t been confirmed.
I would think, if there were ANY attachments in Halo 4 weapons, that they would either only be in campaign or be “weapon powerups” that were fought over on MP maps. If you pick up a grenade launcher attachment, it attaches to your current weapon and allows use of it. That would be my guess; but I can only speculate so far at this point as Halo 4 is still over a year away.
I think that if there are attachments, they will be picked up in each match, like power weapons. Aesthetic modifications like color palettes would be cool, though. (RED AR FTW) XD

Well when put like that it actually sounds pretty interesting, otherwise buying customizable attachments sounds very un-halo like
The customization is false. It was a rumor started by the misconception by many players that MC attached a silencer to his pistol at the end of the trailer. He was actually just reloading it with what appears to be a Grenade Round.

Bro it was a grenade launcher he picked up not a pistol watch the trailer a couple more times and you’ll see things more clearly.
OT: Hell no to customizable weapons maybe add a camo or something but no attachments this isnt freakin call of duty all that bullcrap that bungie put into reach needs to be taken out and we need halo to be halo no more stupid armor abilities sprint is okay for casual and competitve halo gaming but it would be good to have original halo experience

This is what I believe now as well, someone at 343i(I think Frankie) said it was some of kind of high-explosive weapon which would then make since that he would be screwing the explosive back on the gun.
I would not be totally appalled by SOME weapon attachments as pick-ups like a special scope or grenade launcher to customize your weapon giving you more options but I am not all for it either.
