When Halo 4 comes out I’m going to be really involved with unlocking the various pieces of armour. I love unlocking all the extra pieces, just a bit gutted about missing out on Fotus from the console but I cannot justify the cost as I already own 2 xboxs!
Anyways, my question is with regards to armour unlocks via Waypoint. Nothing (as far as I know!) has been confirmed, but I can personally see that 343 seem to be much more involved with Waypoint than Bungie was. I have all the achievements for every Halo game - except Halo Wars. I played it very very briefly, but never got into it.
So, should I get hold of Halo Wars to boost my Waypoint level before the release of Halo 4? Just wanting a few opinions as to whether people think it will be needed to complete the armour sets.
If you like RTS games definitely pick it up, if you primarily play shooters you probably won’t like it.
The armor isn’t really a big deal but if you really want it all then play it.

Waypoint wasn’t Bungie’s thing. MS created 343i which created it.
> While we can’t take any credit for the work that went into powering Halo Waypoint – we didn’t have any direct involvement in its development – we are totally down with creating and delivering some cool stuff to the fans of our titles and Waypoint provides us with an opportunity to work with 343 Industries and Halo Waypoint to offer a nice, retroactive bonus for players who picked up and played Halo 3: ODST.
And FYI, you would need to play day and night non-stop and you wouldn’t have a chance before Halo 4 is out. Where all others are achievable by yourself (and a friend for co-op), gaining the General rank on Xbox live Achievement is the hardest. Not difficulty, but time consuming. And since you’re out of practise by about 2 weeks, it’s going to be very difficult. Legendary solo is no pushover. Achieving Gold, par time in every game actually makes you go grey.
I would do it casually but I see no odds on your side for completion before Halo 4.
I had the same thought about completing all the Halo achievements before 4 comes out. I picked up Halo Wars and the 2 map packs the other day, and have about 11 achievements left which are proving quite difficult. Running the Show and the Co-Op play through might never happen. So if you are interested in just picking it up to get it 100% it might prove to be more then you can handle.
But on the other hand if you’re milestone level on waypoint is going to unlock armor in the game I suppose it is worth it. I assume having the 75 and all 297 might unlock something, so it may make sense to try for it.
