Halo 4 Waypoint LASO Challenge Details

so me and a friend of mine last night were trying to figure out what is entailed in the ever famous Halo 4 LASO Waypoint Challenge, requirements. all skulls BUT blind is LASO. adding Blind makes it mythic.

now with that said in mind. first and foremost before i catch flack from flamers and trolls, i already know this. BUT however me and my friend couldnt figure out what the challege actually required. whether it was blind skull on or off.

Now i know in Halo 3, LASO was just that. ALL SKULLS ON (SLASO - solo legendary all skulls on) including blind. but however in reach blind was not needed.

so…

saying “screw it”…we played the campaign (last night) including prologue, all missions and epilogue, WITHOUT the blind skull on. low and behold. i put the code in for both of us and emblem was unlocked and 50,000xp awarded to both of us. (ranking us both up very easily)

so what ever myths are out there or facts that may not be true. im here to tell you i DID NOT use the Blind skull. and still recieved the emblem.

now whether or not the prologue and epilogue actually count…i have no idea. but as for the blind…naw…not needed. all the other Blind Rumors going around can end.

The challange is bugged. I only did one mission on LASO(including blind) and it unlocked for me. No need to complete every mission.

True LASO is Legendary All Skulls On. Otherwise it would be LASOEB ( Legendary All Skulls On Except Blind)

Also what is everyones problem with the blind skull? Aiming takes a couple of minutes to get used and you can still see what weapons you are currently holding by looking at your own shadow/reflection.

well unfortunately im one of the few that actually did it. (without blind) i dont have a problem with blind, not at all. its just obviously easier to play without it. not to mention i just put a lil tape on my tv or something. no big deal.

and i know TRUE laso is just that ALL SKULLS. but like i said in reach it was all but blind. and in 3 it was all including blind.

Have a read over this post (note the name of the poster), the rest of the thread is also worth reading:

Think this is a better explanation of the difference between Mythic and (S)LASO. Either way nicely done Ninja Kaspyr 83 even without the Blind skull it is still really hard.

> What is Mythic Difficulty? The name derives from the Heroic, Legendary, and Mythic ranks of the Bungie forums and the Halo 3 map packs. Mythic, however, was the only “rank” to never become an official difficulty. Since it is deemed to be the highest, the hardest mode the game has to offer needed to earn its title. Thus, Mythic was formed.

> More specifically, Mythic Difficulty refers to playing the game on Legendary with all skulls activated. We like to refer to this as SSLASO to incorporate both single player and co-op modes. No, that extra “S” wasn’t a typo. Unlike simple SLASO (Solo Legendary All Skulls On), SSLASO stands for “Single-Segment Legendary All Skulls On”, meaning the player must make it through each mission individually on Legendary with all skulls on, from start to finish, in one go. No deaths. No saves. No reverting to the previous checkpoint in co-op mode. This is a challenge to be feared.

yea i only made this thread just as confirmation of MY OWN perosnal laso experience. ive seen many threads that talked about what requirements were needed and many people argued. what was and what wasnt.

so…theory busted.

basically im just confirming how i got MY laso emblem. thx for all the responses and no flaming guys!

see you on the battlefield!

I’m probably in wrong forum for this but just curios in currently on forerunner doing laso and im using a second controller but in not using the second controller and im at the last bit of the mission where you escape on the ghost. But if i quit and continued it in the morning from where i quit would it still count or would i have to do the whole mission again.

It is a bug that I would like to see fixed, beating Halo 4 on LASO and getting that sick emblem is so awesome! And then everyone else can get it by playing literally one mission, that seems like it ruins the special feel of that emblem entirely.
