I think personally that halo 4 has way to fast kill times. To me, some of the kills in multiplayer almost seemed like under 1 second. Also, killing a warthog with a grenade, and AR? What kind of system is this? Why are the kill times so un-halo and fast?
What is this sorcery?
The kill times are fast because…
1.Two spartans were attacking the same person multiple times.with the spartan using the shield he melee’d him which always has destroyed shields and another person took his kill with a head shot. using.
2. They were using “power” weapons in some clips
It would have been a nice gesture by 343i to release a beta so that instead of judging from a video, people could judge from the game itself.

so 5SK BR and DMR were meant to kill fast gameplay, uh? i love that pace, maybe it can be a bit desperate to take cover quick enough but something has to be done to fix reach´s slow motion kills.
That was because three people where atacking the Warthog at the same time and the player helped them with the grenade and AR (that’s why the ‘Assist’ medal).
OFFTOPIC: So, people have beg that Halo 4 must have faster kill times and now that it has, now you complain because they are too fast?? God. What’s wrong with you?
They really are doing everything to turn it into Call of Duty. From watching that gameplay, you don’t even need a good aim anymore.
I love the kill times. It is like an updated Combat Evolved.
Fast kill times are what we desperately need.
Just look at that Storm Rifle clip in the B-Roll. Look at it!

Easier said than done.
OP clearly never played Halo 1 or 2.

Your username wreaks of irony.
Everything will be tweaked through playlists and settings on game launch and over the months post game release.
Reach kill times are too slow. They looked maybe 0.25 too quick to me as well but I’d rather that than slow kill times like armour lock etc.

Thank you, these kill times look amazing. Halo: Reach was too aggravatingly slow when it came to kill times, and none of the kills we saw in the game play looked too fast . . . or at least to me. Even the BR kill times weren’t bad. They looked on par with Halo 3.
The Warthog may have already been wounded, that and there were three players shooting at it at once.
So you guys like your kill times stupidly fast huh? Why not play Call of Duty then.
Halo 3 had perfect kill times. That’s what Halo 4 should be copying.

Still with this “H4=CoD” stuff? It’s getting old.
Ignored.

Ever hear of halo 1?

That’s really fast dude. I timed like 1.4-1.6 seconds each time, from an automatic gun.
Hopefully that’s balanced by the shots being hard to hit, just because they’re plasma. I’d truly like to see a nice video of a full game though, so I can see how fast kills times are, and hopefully they can tell us the BR is 4-shot again.

A beta would be a waste of resources. They ARE having an internal beta to get weapon balance straight as well as other bugs etc etc. Thousands of MS employees have been playing the game alot and the cortana web refining the sandbox all the way.
Giving the game to millions of fans would just push back the release according to 343. I dont think fans realize how hard an time consuming creating and managing a public beta is. If 343 is to ship the game with as much polish and content as they can, a public beta is out of the question.
