"Halo 4 Wasn't Halo" People Said. "Halo 5 Wasn't Halo" People Said. "Oh Infinite Is Halo! Make It Like Halo 4 And 5!" The Same People Said

Forums back then weren’t as popular. Computers in general weren’t that popular yet. Most kids and most people I ran into talked about the game in public. Not on a fourm. Sure there might’ve been people who hated change back then but it’s in no way the same as the change that 343 games put us through

If this is your argument, then that still holds true today. The overwhelming majority of players aren’t going to hop on forums or Reddit to talk about the game. The Halo Infinite reddit has 68k members. The Halo reddit has 1.1 million members.

There’s some truth to that…but…how many people here alone do you think are accessing all this from the palm of their hands within a smart phone? Lemon is still making a pretty fair point. Pretty night and day difference even if not every single person is talking about it. The overall number has increased substantially. Not everyone participates either. Lots of people lurk on forums.

Lol it’s not the same people, c’mon, you’re smarter than that. There might be a few like that but the majority aren’t.

No Alien Resurrection for PS2 did. Came out 4 days before Timesplitters.
Just because Halo didn’t invent the system does not take away from its impact.

Wasn’t Alien Resurrection on the PS1?

You’re right. My mistake.
My point is if we keep going back to what originated what I feel like we’re nitpicking at that point.

Wrong. Halo 4 is undisputedly the least Halo of them all. It’s Call Of Halo. Infinite is the MOST Halo 343 has ever made bar none.

Same here. I thought H4 was easily and by far the worst in the franchise. I played it way longer than I played Infinite.

Halo 4 had the best multiplayer in the series. 343i should’ve continued to build off of that formula with classic modes integrated as their own playlist (4v4 arena style no sprint, or loadouts). That way we get the best of both worlds instead of taking the Halo 5 path and only listening to a select few individuals for feedback.

Yea it’s pretty crazy. Maybe there was just more interesting stuff in h4 to play through than infinite. H4 definitely had some game breaking stuff for awhile…like the chargeable bolt shot loadout for example among other things but…it at least wasn’t this hollow feeling experience. There was more stuff to try and do. The “but its free to play” just doesn’t justify it man. You can’t remove staple playlists and integrate them at me point under the guise of a special event or season and expect players to act like it’s some new never before seen playlist. I don’t get it, and I gave up on trying to get it.

I highly doubt that these are the same people making these completely opposed arguments.

I’ll be taking Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians’ armor patterns and nothing else, thanks. The gameplay here is better.

Halo 4 got the game-types and customization right, with great new modes like dominion and the loadout vs classic options to play depending on what you are a fan of.

Halo 5 got movement and weapons right, with the interesting movement options and weapon attachments and variants adding a lot to the game.

Halo Infinite got gunplay right, the shooting itself feels the best and most skill rewarding overall.

It’s a shame they couldn’t just, you know, bring it all together….(sigh)

No infinite doesn’t look and play like halo either. All three are trash.

It’s nothing more than a toned down halo 5. Full stop.

Halo 4 is the closest because it mimics reach in most of its base mechanics. But reach is also bungies worst multiplayer design so…

Nah. Not at all, Halo 2 was the worst design in the history of Halo, just a very very poorly designed game.

Horrendous weapon balance, bad visuals and poor lighting (red screen blinding you when shot for instance), game breaking glitches like the BxR, x4 constant nade spam, invincible vehicles, awkward spartan movement, etc etc.

Only one I refuse to play on MCC is H2C- it is simply a broken game.

LOL, the nerve on some “fans”

Halo Infinite being like halo 4 is the only thing that will save it. If they make a modern playlist that’s more likely halo 4 or 5, I’ll play it again.

Halo 4 had trash art and multiplayer.

Halo 5 had trash art and campaign.

Halo Infinite has great art and a middling campaign with a buggy multiplayer that will be fixed within two years time.

I dunno what you mean OP when you are saying that the people who shame Halo 4 and 5 are wanting Infinite to become those game that failed upwards.
