i hope halo 5 takes a few steps back to where halo 2 was or halo 3 i dont like having the “class’s” to pick from in MP and everything why cant we just pick up everything we need and want after starting with one primary and pistol?
Agreed. There is just no way of truely balancing the loadouts without making them too similar. Everyone wants all of this variety but I guarantee they just stick with the same weapon set game after game…
I want custom options but not things that add unbalancing (perks), this is probably impossible though, however I do want to be able to chose what primary I get, e.g. DMR or AR, however the other team should have exactly the same choice of gear.

Did it implement some features that have been in cod like kill cams, yes.
Was it too much like cod? I wouldn’t say so. You had some customization options and kill cams, but there were still power weapons people fought control for (just an example). It still had many of the core aspects of previous Halo games (as much as people would like to deny it).
Call of Duty has been about shooting first, Halo has still been about precision, map control, and teamwork (Even Halo 4).

Ordinance destroyed the need to control power weapons .

Too a degree yes, and not every playlist had ordinance though. Ordinance was also a lot more balanced than cod’s killstreaks.
yep it would be more fair
There’s probably going to be sprint in H5 but would love it out. The only thing im worried about is the spartan abilities…
It was ‘modernized’ and turned into something it’s not: a class-based shooter. There’s a few things Halo: Reach and Halo 4 have introduced that has destroyed Halo’s unique feel.
- Armour Abilities (Especially Sprint).- Larger Maps as a direct result of this.- Perks- Ordinance- Customizable Loadouts. This doesn’t work for Halo because it’s first and foremost an arena shooter which emphasizes equal starts, the promotions of map control and longer, more thought-out battles between enemies. These gimmicks destroy Halo’s placing and flow of combat. If they remove them and introduce newer gameplay mechanics and don’t destroy Halo’s formula, they could have a great game on their hands. I really hope Halo 5 takes example from classic Halo games instead of following Halo: Reach and Halo 4’s direction. But this has yet to be seen.

Completely agree with this.
halo 4 was a great game.
not as good as 3, but it was good especially slayer pro, or rumble pro with fixed starts and no ordinance.
im so happy for H2A as it just seems to be halo 4 without sprint and ordanance.
I think the halo 4 classes were good for Spartan Ops because they had a lot of enemies and Im a DMR person and if i was stuck with an assult rife i dont think i would have done all of the spartan ops. As for multi player i dont think it was needed but it helped, once you were over about level 20. It was a bit to CoD and lost some of its halo feel but it didnt have full weapon customisation like what scope, and projectiles ect… If they went that far then i could say yes it was to much like CoD, but i dont think they went overboard. Just my personal opinion.
