Now, first thing I want to establish is that the Kinect is a piece of sh*t. They are not fun. Kinect-exclusive games and features are pointless and more annoying than discovering your wife’s career as a -Yoink!- at a -Yoink!- joint.
However, while looking up Ao Oni videos (this game, in case you’re interested), I discovered this: some guy had figured out how to install MMD (“MikuMikuDance”) onto the Kinect, which gave me an idea to villify the existance of Kinect. As opposed to a Library-esque feature (which was a MAJOR f*ck-up on 343’s part), the Kinect could be activated, and the Spartan would copy the player’s movements from a first-person POV. I have no idea how this would work with weapons, shooting, and melee weapons, but I imagine Kinect-compatible holsters and weapons would be made available. More money for Microsoft, right?
Thoughts?
Kinect in these types of games has been minorly successfull in two titles I can think of. Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim. The principle is don’t make a sit-down game a stand-up game with body movements. Instead utilize the voice command feature to streamline the experience. Anyone with experience in Elder Scrolls games can tell you it’s a pain to access that menu and sift through a ton of items just for the one moment you need to use it. Now you can hotkey via voice command and save yourself a lot of time.
Now take that concept and apply it to forge. I think it’d make it easier.

Yeah, probably. Doesn’t make me any less right, though.

Sigh. “Sh*t-lint.” Exactly what it sounds like.

Not to harp, but it’s better to just say -Yoink- lint and let the “yoinks” do their job.

I miss -blam!-. I haven’t seen that in forever.
…okay, so clearly, this is a thread that should never have been started to begin with. Will a mod please lock this?

Alas, the Bungie forums are no longer relevant. I do miss seeing ADAPT every other post, though.
And people sharing their clips with “RENDER PLS” at least three or four times every page.

The flood is here for you
Meh…it seems like a good idea…mostly for Forge, like how MeatShieldGriff said. the gun thing is kind of a problem, furthermore, what would you use for the energy sword for that matter?
