I’m a huge Halo fan, played all of the games, read all of the books and comics, etc. But…I have to say I’m more excited for the XBOX 720 and the games that it will launch with. Think about it - SIX MORE TIMES POWERFUL THAN THE 360 - SWEET!
Although… I may change my mind after playing HALO 4,only time will tell.

I don’t really know why do you even compare those two. Microsoft said we shouldn’t expect a new XBOX 720 (if it’s called like that) until 2014. Halo 4 is coming this year.

They mentioned a release of 2014 a long time ago. There’s a lot speculation and rumors suggesting a 2013 release.
And to answer the OP. It’s kind of hard to answer that question, because despite the fact that all the information on the 720 is just…rumors, Halo 4 itself doesnt have much info, and even then: You’re comparing a console to a game. It just shouldnt work that way. As far as games go though I would have to say:
ME3 > Bioshock > RE6 > Halo 4 > and then X720, I guess…
I would love to see some gameplay for H4, but until then I’m more hyped for these titles because I know what I’ll be doing, how I’ll be doing them, and what it’ll look like when I do so. (Except RE6, not too much info on that, but it had a badass gameplay trailer)
From the rumors I saw, the “720” is suppose to be 8 times as powerful as a 360.
But anyways, as with most things, it’s hard to get excited by what you don’t know. Even though there isn’t much info on Halo 4, it is still more than the next Xbox, so people would naturally be more excited for Halo 4 than the next Xbox.

HALO4>XBOX720(or whatever its called)
I just hope the achievements from my 360 account carry over onto the new Xbox.

I gotta say, as a huge, huge Star Wars fan, that’s one ugly console. Anyway, I’m more hyped for Grand Theft Auto: V then I am for Halo 4.

The amount of information is pretty much comparable. For Halo 4 we only know the location and characters, very little of the actual plot or gameplay. The Nextbox on the other hand, we know that the GPU is going to be an AMD, either from the 6000 or 7000 series. We know that the CPU might be a PowerPC. With a little research you can already set your expectations pretty high concerning what we know about the specs.
Personally, at the moment I’m more excited for the Xbox, but my excitement will shift towards Halo 4 when we get some concrete info.

And the “NextBox”, as you say, is rumoured to have a recording chip built in that can record TV and gameplay.

I guess I should have clarified, I meant concrete and official info, the biggest one being that Halo 4 is suppose to come out this year. With the next Xbox we just know it’ll happen at some point in the next few years. Something that doesn’t even have an official estimated release makes it a harder to get excited for.
how could you be more excited about halo 4 over xbox 720? its just one game and xbox 720 will have a lot of great games with 6 times better graphics/gameplay. hoping that in the first 2 years of the release of the next xbox they will have Halo 4, Left 4 Dead 3, gears of war 4, half like episode 3/half-life 3, dead space 3 and a racing game even tho i dont like racing games unless its mario kart!

While any of the info for the Xbox definitely isn’t official, I think it’s pretty concrete by now that the console will be at least six times more powerful than 360. And even more concrete is the information that it will have an AMD GPU at least from the 6000 series.
Sure, I was a bit sceptical when all the articles guoted IGN as, well, it’s IGN. But when I saw an article on a site that had done their own research, with similar information and some reasoning, I started to trust the information.
What comes to Halo 4, the fact that it’s going to come this year isn’t enough to really make it any more exciting. I’m still very excited for Halo 4, but there isn’t a lot to be excited about.
Its funny how we have MUCH more information on a console that probably won’t be released for another 2 and a half years, than a game that will come out THIS YEAR…

That’s because 343i has done good enough job at keeping Halo 4 as a secret. All the console information on the other hand, are just from what game developers have heard. As it seems, Microsoft aren’t really trying to hide the Nextbox, most likely because there is nothing to hide about it. Anyhow, they haven’t done an official announcement, therefore we have much more official information about Halo 4 than the Xbox.
Most likley halo 6 will be released on a new xbox because it will be in development for a good 3 years and by then a new xbox will be out will get it and if there is a huge problem with the consol (u know what im talking about) Microsoft HQ will be burned to the ground.

Not exactly. The Nextbox is supposed to come out somewhere between 2013 and 2015. The Reclaimer trilogy will most likely follow the schedule of Halo with a game released every three years. Therefore Halo 6 would come out in 2018. Halo 5 on the other hand will most likely be released in 2015, just at the right time for the Nextbox. I’m 99% sure that Halo 5 will be on the Nextbox.
