Over the past week Haters have been relentlessly attacking Halo 4. I know that they may be just stating their opinion, but they are going too far and raging over silly things(eg the limited edition, the preorder bonuses). I am honestly surprised at how far this is going. It’s just some content and a limited edition, is this seriously worth complaining about?
I know that we all have concerns for halo 4, we want it to be a good game. I have one or two myself, but I have realized that continually focusing on the negatives like the Haters won’t help. I’m not saying we should have undying faith in 343, I’m saying that we have to atleast give them the benefit of the doubt. They are fans of halo just like us, they see what we write on the forums and they try to work in new features that we the fans want.
Please consider what I have said and post what you think.

But isn’t that just what you are doing?
My advice is get thicker skin. It’s going to get a lot worse before it gets any better.

Define trolling please. I am pretty sure not all of those “trolls” are trolls. Sure there are trolls mixed in but I doubt all of them are trolls.

I’m not sure if the OP knows what a troll is. It seems like he is calling anybody who says anything negative a troll.
I learned from other communities, that no matter what you do with the game, there will always be some people complaining. First you get hundreds of people asking for a change. Devs make a change and hundreds of different people go to forums and are enraged that something was changed.
And that is the sad story of community games which explains why these forums will always be flooded with horsecrap.

I’m referring to people who go beyond stating their opinion and start raging needlessly.

To you “trolls” are the people who openly criticize the game. Well guess what, since you blindly support it, you’re a “troll” to me.
In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion. The noun troll may refer to the provocative message itself, as in: “That was an excellent troll you posted.”

Please read the post, Did I say to have blind faith or to blindly support Halo 4? No, I did not.

This is how people look at Reach. It’s a perfectly good game and people are treating it
like trash. I don’t find any problem with it.
And when the game first came out and people were complaining. I started to believe what
they were saying and I disliked Reach because I was only looking at the bad things.
It didn’t last very long. I woke up and started enjoying the game again.
Why do you care? If you like the approach 343 is taking, then be grateful for that. Understand that some don’t, and that they will be vocal about it because otherwise it goes unnoticed. Let these so called “trolls” complain if that’s what they want to do. You don’t even have to let them, they will anyway. Nothing to get worked up over.
