Hey Halo 4 fourm, I think Halo 4 looks awesome and made a video compairing it to Dust 514. Note: I like both games not trying to start a war here. Anyway if you want to check it out click the link. Thanks -royron32
Halo 4 Vs Dust 514

I like halo alot and as for dust 514 i think its not good i tried the beta and didnt like it you have to buy stuff just to make/ have custom loadouts which i didnt like and it took me like a half hour just to figure out how to customize loadouts my opinion of it

go away i dont need any comparisons ;l

Halo 4 is on the Xbox

Dust 514 is on the PC

Enough said.

Either way, it’s not on the Xbox, so it really shouldn’t matter.

Well for those of us that own both.
Dust 514 will be F2P regardless, so its not like we have to choose one or the other

The only thing about Dust514 that intrigues me for Halo is that Microsoft can go the other way and expand the Halo universe by using elements from forge and halo wars to create a star battle ship game that could compete with EVE online for console players. Personally I would have rather CCP focus more on mech combat by combining the design aspects of EVE ships and say ArmorCore for Dust514, since many of its players are used to leveling up their ships. High Speed Mechs would be an easier transition but that’s just me. I love mech games.

and PS Vita will get it. It coincides with the MMO Eve for the PC. Not really sure how you can compare it with Halo, but I guess if you were going to compare Dust with anything it would be a cross between Halo and Battlefield. That affects the MMO Eve and vice versa, but this thread should probably be in a off topic section.

Murder Miners

Dust 514 is a completely different type of sci-fi shooter. It can’t be compared to Halo 4.

comparisons always leads to arguments.

Hence the term ‘versus.’

Agreed, plus, Halo is mainly story driven, EVE and Dust I do strongly believe don’t hav campaign like Halo does, if you’re going to compare games, at lets compare games that are more similar than Sci Fi First Persion shooter.

Guys seriously? As you’ve probably seen that’s a Halo 4 Forum… so why do you compare it to other games?

Dust 514 looks incredibly fascinating on paper, but I’d only want to play it once they’ve ironed out all of the kinks. From what I’ve heard, the gameplay needs a bit more polish. Still, I’m absolutely in love with the idea of tying in the massive in-game economy of Eve with a territories-like conquest FPS having players fight for control of planets. That’ll be interesting for sure.

I guess all I can say is that Halo 4 will be the better game solely because the guys behind Eve and Dust don’t have any experience with FPS games.

Just watched a 514 trailer… doesn’t interest me in the slightest.

Both look great. I have a PS3 so I can get Dust.

For everyone who doesn’t and wants it on Xbox, blame Microsoft and their terms.

I am pretty sure Bungie is making Destiny exclusive to the Next Box/PC at first, and it will be more similar to Dust 514 than it is to any of their previous Sci-fi shooters including Halo.

I tried the beta and it was pretty intense and just the scope of the game is awesome and building a character seems like it would be really cool, but the action is obviously more dispersed and it plain requires more strategy and work to accomplish things so I can see it having too high of a learning curve/time investment for some people.

Yea.

And about Destiny, it’ll be released for the 360 first, then the Nextbox, Playstation, and PC get it down the road. Just a small correction.

I was in the Dust 514 closed beta, it really can’t be compared to Halo.
That’s because it’s complete crap.
It sacrifices everything for the sake of having more players, the gunplay and guns don’t feel punchy, the characters feel floaty, the maps are nothing special, the controls and shooting just isn’t as tight as Halo 4 etc.
Plus the technology is also inferior in every regard, sure I played a beta, but it is representative of the final product, the same way Halo Reach beta was very much representative and similar to the final game, with some minute changes/polish done.

Halo 4 wins that comparison for me by a mile.
