So picture this, default camera on a vehicle upon entry is third person (like all the other halo games). And when you press a button on the controller, the camera toggles between 3rd and 1st person. An upside to the 1st person view is being more immersive, and like the rest of the game (since it’s primarily 1st person anyway). Also, when you’re in 1st person, you can hear the alert system in the vehicle (for lock on weapons), and alert for enemies on radar.
imo I think 1st person would work great with aerial vehicles like the falcon/banshee/pelican.
Halo has always had a third person view on vehicles. I see no reason for that to change and for 343i to waste their time implementing such a extraneous feature.

Nope. In Halo CE/CEA when you enter the passenger side of the Warhog, and the tracks on the Scorpion. Your view point is first person. Also the machine gun.Granada turret for the Falcon is in first person.

You act like it would take months of development to perfect. If they can spend ages making assassination animations and left handed spartans, they can add this.

You have somewhat corrected me, despite every Halo game’s driver positions being third person.
I still, however, think that the idea is extraneous and simply pointless.

That’s the thing. The 3rd person view option would still be there (being the default option unless changed in the menu). It would just be more immersive is all.

To me the only thing that would take time would be the view point for the tanks, and the Banshee. For the tanks it could like like how Battlefield does it. Same thing for the Banshee. Your screen looks like a video screen.
