Has it been stated that it will be similar to Reach’s health system? Or will it be more like Halo 3’s?
I really hope the vehicles will be more like Halo 3’s than Reach’s. The vehicles in Reach felt wimpy and less useful than Halo 3’s. They couldn’t take a hit and the dealt out damage a lot less efficiently.
In Reach, I just recently shot down a Banshee with four shots of a sniper rifle as it was taking off, not very fun for me or that pilot. Halo 3 Vehicles by all means necessary.
Personally, I believe the most important part is that the vehicles don’t get destroyed by weapons that you spawn with. Or flipped by little Jimmy and his handy dandy DMR.
Both of those reasons you two listed are exactly why I do not like the current system. I DO NOT think a player’s health should be harmed if the VEHICLE is shot, nor do I think a banshee should be destoyed right off the bat from a mag of sniper ammo. The kill isn’t rewarding, and the vehicle becomes useless quickly.

Except for the Scorpion Tank (assuming it’s in). That thing needs to be nerfed in all sorts of ways.
I agree. The vehcles in reach are like the rocket launcher, sure you will get a few kills but you will be killed very quickly by a lucky grenade or a few regular weapon shots.
