Today I completed all the chapters in 5 episodes(1,3,8,9,10) on Spartan Ops and didn’t get the Dedicated to Crimson achievement. What the hell?
It specifically says the FIRST FIVE CHAPTERS. According to what you just posted you’re missing 2,4, and 5.

No, it doesn’t. Just checked my achievement list. It says “Completed all chapters in the first 5 episodes of Spartan Ops on any difficulty.” That is verbatim from the game.

Wow, someone’s in strong denial. It IS the FIRST FIVE chapters of Spartan Ops.
It says any 5 for me too, but I’ve seen it say different things in different places. They probably assumed it would be the first 5. Either way, you have to complete 1-5 for it to unlock.

It doesn’t say complete any chapters. It clearly says complete the first five. Anyone who says it doesn’t for them is like a 10 year old girl who took a cookie out of the jar which had a big sign on it saying “don’t take cookies from this jar” and her excuse is the sign read differently for her.
Simply put: you guys are lying.
I remember when it trolled me at launch, I got my achievement an hour after doing the first 5 episodes.
Halo’s achievements have always been pretty trolly to me.
Trying doing the missing ones from the first five episodes. Should bleep-bloop then. 
Keep in mind that some Chapters have secondary objectives that must be successfully completed for you to complete the mission. If you fail these objectives, you can (usually) still play through to the end, but I think it counts as a failed mission.
Examples include protecting the generators in The Cauldron Base, and protecting the two research device things on that one very small uphill grassy map.

If you get a mission fail, you didn’t technically complete that mission. For the missions where you can get a fail, I’d suggest grabbing a buddy. Much easier to defend those sites with more than one Spartan.

If you obtain the achievement the text from what it said originally to what it says after probably changes. I’ve had several achievements in many games do that. It might say complete 5 episodes, however it is referring to the first 5. So you’re going to have to do the first 5 episodes.
Basically it’s a small communication error.
