Halo 4 Tritons?

I just saw the headset for Halo 4 and I really think it looks nice but I was wondering if headsets like those are really anything special and they’re just expensive because of the company that made them? Hope that made sense.

You never really know for sure until you try them. But for a headset, just going with a simple wired headset from a good brand like Turtle Beach and what-not is the better alternative.

I would say save up some money and get some Astro’s.

Eh, I’ve personally had bad luck with Tritons. Them being a MadCatz product, however I should have expected it.

I’m more of a Razer guy with my peripherals, though a good and cost effective brand would be Turtle Beach. Maybe even go Steel Series.

^ I have two pair of Astros. They are amazing!

I think the Tritton Triggers look great. After days of thinking, I’m going to buy a pair.

Tritton Warhead 7.1 is probably the best headset for Xbox 360 so far, with some exeptions, that’s way they cost a lot.

I’m planning to get a pair myself for Xmas.

I’ve used many Tritton products and will assure you they are definitely worth the money.

my friends and I bought the war heads and they are definitely worth the money! We just have trouble with more than one stand in the room so take that in consideration if you have more than one around

Honestly a headset that is 300$ is not worth it in my opinion, why would I pay for a headset that is fragile and can break at any moment. On top of that it is extremely expensive for a headset.

I spent about $70 for my Trittons and they’ve worked just fine. had them about a year. I had a set of similarly priced Turtle Beach’s that crapped out on me after a year.

Honestly, you never know. Your experience may be better than others. I hear that best for your money are Astro’s, which are what many pro players use.

Hi. So, I just bought the Tritton Warheads (not the Halo special edition) but the regular black ones. I have owned a set of Trittons previously, then 2 different surround sound Turtle Beaches in between.

The first surround Trittons I had felt great in my hands, felt great on my head, the sound was amazing, but the voice chat was horrible. It was bad for anybody else listening to me. They complained of a buzzing and me cutting in and out. They were corded. I returned them for a set of Turtle Beaches.

Those turtle beaches were pretty crappy quality and the sound was okay but it was corded and the amount I paid didn’t not make it a solid deal. I wasn’t happy enough.

The second set I had were much better with sound, felt a little more robust and rigid, but the problem with those was that since they were ‘wireless’(still had a cord plugged into the controller) it interfered with the other devices I have around my tv. There was a lot of feedback/popping/ cracking to the point where it started hurting my ears .I gave those to my uncle.

Now about my risky buy with the new Tritton Warheads…

First, they are pretty expensive, but with everything it offers, it’s well worth it to me.

They’re heavy and are made very sturdy. I like this, as my biggest beef with Turtle beaches were that they felt like a toy, and I wanted it to feel like a professional audio tool.

They feel great on my ears, but I have small ears and I’ve heard that if you have large ears they may hurt the lobes after awhile.

They come completely wireless, meaning no cord to the headphones, and no cord from the headphones to the controller. This right there is frickin’ spectacular!

These headphones send/receive at a different megahertz and so far, I have received no kind of weird feedback.

It comes with an extra rechargeable battery. When the one in the headphones starts to die, all you have to do is switch it out with the one connected to the stand and let that one recharge. It’s so nice not having to use AAs anymore. Also, you can hit the guide button and see the battery charge on screen just as if it were a 360 original wireless headset. I have only changed out the batteries 1x in the last week. at least 16 hours of play time.

I’m very impressed with it so far and have had it a week. It’s a must have if you’re annoyed buy replacing batteries, static interference, CORDS!
