Hi I’d say im not an intense halo player but I enjoy playing Halo 4 and would love to take my gaming skills to the next level. Searching Google for training tips isnt so resourceful and id prefer on hand training rather than copycatting someone elses style and expecting results immediately. So it would be awesome if anyone could give me a complete guide with tips and tricks for MLG or just common Slayer variant game modes to improve my game play, and if possible make a custom game and train me if they have time
A lot of clans do this - try over in the recruiting section.
Also - look at your film to see if someone did really well, or you did something that didn’t work. I would also suggest poking around in forge, looking at angles, trying jumps, and if you play things like Ricochet, trying out timing/angles of throws.

It is going to be a little difficult to find someone that will “train” with you. Your best bet is the recruitment section, and joining a clan for sure. I had a good clan experience with Reach. Pandoras Mighty Soldiers had regular practices, and some real great learning opportunities.
I would also recommend this guy’s channel, Zach Johnson. When you have the time watch every single one of his videos. I guarantee you will learn a great deal.
Be patient with yourself. Try to learn from every game you play. If you do exceptionally bad or good take a look at that game. It will help you gain perspective, positive and negative. This is a tough game to master, but never ever give up.
Campaign. Legendary. use needler on elites. Put on catch skull if you want it to be easier (instead of shooting, the enemy will throw grenades [very useful when going against a group of promethean knights.]) thats how i got better. look at my avatar/profile pic if you don’t believe me (mk 6 is earned by completing campaign on legendary). use mythic tyrant on youtube to help. he knows A LOT of shortcuts. i could possibly help you when i get gold again my xbox live name is the same as this one. hope this helps

The campaign does not prepare you for MM
at all…imo…
Years ago I made a training map for some friends to learn H3, and everyone felt it was very helpful. That said, I think another good bet is to play with a friend on the same screen. Watch what they do, and their hands, this way you can ask for tips right away. Other posts about youtube and clan training nights are also helpful! Combine these and you should be getting noticeably better.
