I knew I recognised the voice at the end of the Halo 4 trailer.
As alot of people are speculating it to be the didact, I believe otherwise.
When the cross is turned upside down, people think of the anti-christ, right?
Well, when Didact’s symbol was turned upside down, should we think of the anti-didact?
Same voice?
This video is Mausoleum Suite Secret Backwards - It contains a secret message from what people speculate to be Mendicant Bias, a Forerunner AI who turned against his creators.
Now, is it just me or is that voice similar to the one heard at the end of the Halo 4 Campaign trailer?
The backwards voice is that of the Gravemind, and it was something inserted my Marty. It has no relation to the current story.
> The backwards voice is that of the Gravemind, and it was something inserted my Marty. It has no relation to the current story.
It was a hidden message that was intended to be played sped up - It isnt a coincidence, it was put there purposely by Bungie, who may have had a basic idea of the story in later Halo games.
I can’t understand why the Gravemind would speak of him seeking forgivness of his sin - everything the voice says points towards Mendicant bias, or, quite, possibly, the Timeless One. -“I live in a prison of my own demise.”
-“I am lost in time”.
It is even more ironic how the two voices sound very identical, if not the same.

Well some would say that gravemind IS the timeless one… who knows?

A few fun facts:
- Halo 2 was originally supposed to end the fight with the Covenant, culminating in a fight on Earth, where the Artifact was in fact the Ark.
- At the time of Halo 2’s completion, Mendicant Bias hadn’t yet been conceived, nor had the full story for Halo 3, much less anything beyond that.
- The backwards speech was specifically put in by Marty
It is not Mendicant Bias, who, incidentally, died when the Ark was destroyed.

Meh, okay then, but I still have a theory that the voice at the end isnt the Didact’s.
But, ill watch the rest of the Halo information that will be released during the course of the week before jumping to conclusions.

I submit that the voice may not be the Didact. I strongly believe that it cannot be the Didact we’ve been reading about in the Forerunner books or the Halo 3 Terminals.

I believe, that when the Didact’s symbol was turned upside down, it was intended to indicate “the anti didact.”
Now who would be the Anti Didact?
Faber springs to mind - it did say in Primordium he was presumed dead, but they never found his body.
I say it is that AI because that voice is that same one that 343 guilty spark was talking to in one of the terminals in halo anniversary.

I’ve heard it is Mendicant Bias. There is a video out there that speeds it up a certain way and it sound nothing like a Gravemind.
Well my friends, We will have to wait and see.
