Acclaimed director David Fincher brings Halo to life like never before in this 2 minute trailer touching on the backstory of the Spartan program told through flashbacks.
Epic, its nice to see more into the back story especially in Live Action, and the Promethean Knights are even creepier than I imagined they would be if brought to Live Action. But I’m still not sure if its the Didact, I keep looking at how he seemed to just dig into every memory in a flash trying to find Johns weaknesses, only to discover he has none. But that seems to lean more toward something a Precursor would be more likely to do.

> Wasn’t that great? dude this was phenomenal!
Most players don’t know about the Spartan Program, so pretty much everything up until the end would have made no sense to them. Not the best decision for a trailer really.
My impression is that it focused too much on a back story that most people don’t even know exist. It isn’t really clear that it’s Halo until 1:40, and right there is where they should have focused their efforts.
Show Chief exploring this new world and fighting the new enemy instead of delving into a story that most people don’t even know. I wouldn’t even have known about the Spartan program if I wasn’t on the forums, and a Halo player not as invested as me doesn’t even know there are Halo books.
Not a wise choice on Microsoft’s part. It looked amazing no doubt, but it didn’t get me nearly as hyped as Starry Night or even Deliver Hope did. The pacing was flat and the narrative was all over the place. Shorter clips of different portions would have a greater effect.
