Halo 4 too noob friendly?

At least in infinity slayer anyway (not slayer pro, which I love atm. Feels almost like mlg).

In other words, even if I still consistently perform well in games, there will be times when a kid busts out of a corner with a saw and absolutely rapes me within 2 seconds. Also I dare not choke with the dmr/br or the assault rifle will destroy me within two seconds as well (You can still beat it, but not if you dare miss a shot. It got a major buff). And let’s not bring up needlers…

In short, it seems to me like 343 made a ton of new OP automatic weapons that can destroy you if you dare challenge a kill at the wrong moment. It seems somewhat unbalanced at times at close range. Sniper ordinance also only comes up once every trillion years too, making it seem like it favors noob combo over skill…

Thoughts?

Agreed with OP^

Automatic weapons destroy up close. So pick them up from afar. I usually pick up a AR from the ground to replace my secondary to battle those AR rushers.

Agreed. Especially with the sniper ordinance. I’m sick and damn tired of getting a bloody shotgun or saw on a map like Ragnarok over and over again instead of a sniper or beam rifle.

weird, assault rifles and other short range weapons work well at close distances. Also the needler is a power weapon now, so it’s meant to be powerful. Non of this stuff is unbalanced.

In other words:

“Why is every weapon other than: precision weapons, rocket launchers and sniper rfles usable?”

I guess in one way it is balancing the weapons to make them all on the same playing field, however my problem is that there’s now too many OHK weapons. Might be just me noticing this, but on maps like Solace I never see the snipers spawn again after the start of the game, it’s annoying having to rely on ordnance giving you one. Hopefully when more playlists come out there will be a more traditional playlist where ordnance can’t be used and things like OS/weapons have set spawns

Well i wouldnt call them noobs if tthey kill you over and over. Just get better with the weapons you fell terrible with and if your playing slayer pro and love it you should be pwning these people with or without power weapons.

The beat down is ridiculous, the skill to hit somebody and jump back is gone all you need to do now is just go up to some in clock right bumper twice. Why the control change there is no need for that the buttons to be different, if there were a point to do this then why not keep the same exact controls as an option. Why do they decide to throw a game out there tell us there is going to be a ranking system but they want to perfect it first. Makes no sense, wouldn’t a ranking system be the easiest of things to put in a game? Make some levels give each level a certain amount of wins to rank up and thats about all there is too it. Skirmish should be brought back with assault. I wonder if there will ever be any old halo maps like lockout. I guess they forgot about the skill halo used to require. No sniper respond and even if there were these aren’t even really sniping maps for the most part every level is blocked off in the center. This game reminds me of a better version of crisis 2. 343 industries doesn’t care about the skill halo requires they care about the money and the way they can make more is by making the game easy for everyone. Or by releasing map pack information before the game even comes out that is simply limited. Last but defiantly not least why the hell isn’t there a double team? That is the first thing I looked for when signing into halo 4. There is no reason for there to be only 6 playlist.

FIGURE IT OUT 343

This pretty much. The OP just sucks and needs to practice more.

It’s better than in Reach where melee was crazy overpowered and all you had to do was run up to someone and whack them.

“Halo 4 too newb Friendly”

So, you’re dieing a lot eh?

I would agree that Halo 4 is too noob friendly but for none of the reasons you said.

For me the big one is not getting un-zoomed when shot. This is a core gameplay feature that makes Halo, well Halo. I know its very small and not very noticeable but once you do you realize that it changes a lot.
