Halo 4 tones.

SO recently Iv been trying to look deep into halo because I recently got to play Spec ops: the line and in that game the game itself was more talking to the player how stupid and ridiculousness the Moderns military shooters have become and I wanted to look at Halo the same way.

From the star of Halo we see Dr. Halsey being interrogating by someone asking her about her abduction of children and the state of the Spartan program. The man asking the questions is vary intense and digging with his questions, “Why the Spartans were made, How they act, why they were originality made.” He makes it a point they act vary high of themselves compared to normal marines and ODST troops also making a point to say that they were originality constructed to crush the rebellion on earth and are nothing more then a walking gun, Yet if you watch Episode 1 of Spartan ops the Spartan IV’s act like regular troops.

Spoilers from here on out

Much of the campaign is spent with Chief trying to get Cortana back to earth from her thinking herself to death. They reason that Dr. Halsey is the only one that can help yet near the end of the game its clear Cortana will not make it so she destroying herself to save her best friend along with the rest of earth.

After this we see Chief spend some time alone staring at earth most likely thinking his hole career over, how much many humans he killed, covenant and Promethean’s, how long he has been fighting, how many of his friends, fellow Spartans and marines have died by his side and so on. Finally to the end of the game after 35 years of constant fighting and training he takes off his armor to show he is nothing more then a man under his machine build, A man who has lost friends in a time of war, a man who bleeds when cut and a man who cry when hurt. He is noithing more then a man who as killed for his entire life.

and no one cared :frowning:

  1. Put your text walls into a spell checker next time.
    SPOILERS

  2. During the game, Chief is called old and inferred that he is past his prime. Everyone is watching him as he walks to take is armor off. Everyone appears to be awe struck as he passes. People care. Laskey even mentions that his boss got “fired” for leaving Chief behind. They all still care about Earth’s Hero.

  3. In Spartan Ops, it is mentioned multiple times that many Marines have tried to do your missions and couldn’t. I believe a quote is “You did in 24 minutes what the ODST couldn’t do in 24 hours.” Or something like that.

  4. As per the lore, the Spartan IV’s are supposed to be closer to Spartan I’s. They are ODST/Spec Ops marines that volunteer are selected for Spartan duty. SI’s failed because the technology wasn’t there, most were unsuccessful/died but some came out and excelled like SGM Johnson. SII’s were amazing, but the process of creating them is not morally good, takes a LONG time, and has a low success rate. The SIII’s were younger and “volunteered” for the duty. They were angry and less controllable, but were mostly meant for suicide missions. Their training was faster though. The SIV’s were meant to take all the best parts of all the previous programs: Already trained ADULT volunteers, enhanced abilities, replaceability, and quick training time

A couple things.

  1. Spartan fours act like normal soldiers because the Spartan IV program is open to volunteers.

  2. Spartan II’s were abducted at a very young age and trained/indoctrinated. So yes, they are a bit abnormal. At the end of the game Spoilers when Chief said “A soldier’s duty is to protect humanity, whatever the cost” he really, truly believes that, because he was raised like that.

  3. Spartan III’s did not volunteer, the reason they had a bit more personality is because some of them (Noble team) were abducted later. In fact, after the events of Reach all the Spartan III’s are dead or disabled, the vast majority of them dying i a single assault op.

If I do remember right the spartan 3’s were made on Reach and pretty much all of them were there and they were put into defense operations much like in one mission on Halo RTS.
