so this is what i heard for many dif. sites there is !!no beta!! well that may cause it to be a bad multi player for the first 3 month till the bug are worked out but hey if the want to have a mass 3 problem and not care if what is wrong with the games (like battle field 3 still fixing it and there not done yet) then so be it. so beta halo4 multi player would make the game run better and not just that there is alot of people saying it’s going to be like reach so they dont want to get it cause it doesnt feel like the game is halo 1-3
all im saying let the poeple who play these games like hrs to do your work for you put a beta and let the halo fans help.
I dont want a beta. Past 2 games that had a beta didnt really turn out so well. I enjoyed halo 3 just fine but it was definitely a lottttt less fun for me than halo 2 or CE, and reach…well we all see how that played out.
Betas are great things for getting the bugs out and seeing how people react to certain elements but i feel as if the halo community is too divided and too petty to be part of a proper beta. Instead of finding legitimate problems for 343 to fix they will take aspects they dont like and portray them as problems until they are taken out or fixed. 343 will then try to make everyone happy and end up making no one happy.
Lets just trust that they know what they are doing and care enough to fix any major problems via Patch.
Betas help patch things up, sure halo 2 was fun with glitches and crap. but if a game comes out with that sort of glitches with it’s sandbox ? Halo 4 will be a very unpopular game
Remember the E3 demo that Bungie made for Halo 2 around 2003? That took time to make and most of it never even went into the game. If 343i allocates resources to create a build dedicated for public consumption, that would take time and resources that could be used to polish Halo 4. That would result in a weaker product, even without the public submitting bugs.
Besides, with some games I prefer going in blind. I played the demo for Mass Effect 3, for example, and that just made the opening section of the game a chore rather than an actual part of the game. I want my first Halo 4 experience to be me holding the full game in my hands rather than a couple of maps and only some of the weapons and features available to me.
A lot of people are just whining because they just want a demo, basically. They have no interest in actually helping 343i build a more solid game, they just want to play it early and whine about it.

You dont know that to be true for one thing, thats just you speculating again and playing it off as fact. Also it really doesnt matter because our community isn’t responsible and or mature enough to participate in a meaningful beta.
P.S. Halo 2 was fun because of the balanced gameplay and the core mechanics. The glitches were fun and button glitches did give a pleasantly surprising increase in skill gap but those things only accentuated the game. It didnt make it what it was.
343 clearly stated their reason behind not having a beta and it is sound. Not all games need a beta. It doesnt necessarily make it better either. They have others that do testing for a job.
Also, take care with your grammar in future please.

Seconded.
OP, before you go on another rage-fueled keyboard-spasm and possibly pass out from lack of Oxygen, maybe try thinking a bit first??
They’ve been working on this game for years now. They don’t want a Beta for the same reason they’ve let out as little info about the game as possible overall…they want it to be fresh for everyone!! They want us to go in not knowing a thing, or next to nothing about the game…and I like it! It’s annoying, but I like it.
They’ve had ample time to iron out sandbox & gameplay issues, along with bugs & fixes with their internal Beta…so maybe let’s try NOT to slag off the people who are putting in months of their lives to give YOU something potentially totally awesome.
From what little I’ve seen so far…I’m hyped to the max for this game.
The community gives far enough feedback to give 343i an idea of what we want as it is, so I wouldn’t worry too much about a Beta.
With enough internal testing, Betas aren’t necessary. It’s a false expectation that multiplayer Betas are the industry standard for multiplayer titles, when in reality they aren’t nor ever was. Halo CE and Halo 2 had internal Betas, and those titles were just as successful as Halo 3 and Reach (which weren’t as critical acclaimed as past titles), despite the latter having public Betas.
At this point in development, a multiplayer Beta for Halo 4 would be more of hassle than beneficial, as Frankie’s said numerous times. Not to mention this community provides enough feedback to give 343i an idea of what we want and expect in Halo 4’s multiplayer.
It’s not that big of a deal. Most people just want a Beta so they can play the game early, and rip it to shreds, which is totally understandable. However, the decision has already been made and there isn’t going to be one.
Just have faith in 343i. They know what they’re doing.
> Meh. I’m fine with no public Beta, to be honest.

This is almost exactly my opinion. I also stand by my opinion that people simply don’t know what they want in a game.
