Who thinks that Halo 4 will need one of These as soon as it is released?
I think that it will get one, but Just ONE and it will mainly be for bug fixes since there was no public beta… And it will be a few moths after release not a few weeks…

Lol blops 50,000 patches an update.
I don’t think they will release it right away though.
A game dev actually fixing stuff post release? Didn’t know that was apparently a bad thing.
Who knows maybe they won’t need to…
All depends, if the game is well made, and every one is happy with every thing, then there shouldn’t be a need for one. BUT it’s a good sign if a game developer releases a patch/update early if there’s an issue that needs solving, it means the game developer is not only listening to it’s community and players, but also on top of things.

It’s not. In fact it’s the opposite. But that doesn’t give Treyarch or activision of Inifinty ward the green light to just release a half @ssed game that has two thirds of it content unfinished that needs to be DLC, and 90% of the bug fixes and Gameplay polish being applied After release.
Halo reach only had ONE update, and it really didn’t need it (Although it was great and did help a lot). Were as Black Ops 1 needed like… What?.. 20.
Just sayin…

Strange, the changes between their games are better and more thought out than any change to halo that Reach and 4 brought.
And Reach still needs updates. Especially in the balance and gameplay departments.

True. It just feels to me now, that games of today are released incomplete so that the company’s can make a quick buck. I Remember days of Paper Mario 64 and Golden Eye, and Perfect Dark 64, what you bought is what you get. The entire game, with all its content and feature intact. Now a game come out and its…
EA DICE:“Buy the new Battle field 3 map pack, and character pack, and skin pack, and weapon pack, and new story mission pack!Oh and don’t forget to download all 30 updates because without them the game sucks and is broken!”.
ME:“Then uhh why did you release the game in the first place? YOu could have waited till it was finished.”
EA DICE: “??? Ugh, well ummm, Just shut up! Give us your money, and buy or content! There is no money to be made if the game came with all of the content in the first place. Why make you all pay $60 for a full game when we can charge you $60 for half a game or more. Then another $25-45 on the other half??”

Agreed fully, saying Reach was perfect a release is laughable at best, that game if any (except maybe Bethesda game) was broken, half finished and still is, only difference is that MP is playable, not enjoyable but playable, post updates.
I’d rather have 15 updates that all fix small issues directly, then get 1 large update every 6 months that fixes 15 issues, then wait another 6 months for the next update while the game breaks down, population leaves and …
OnT:
Most likely, the game goes gold well before release, but bugs are still found while 343i/testers/reviewers play it and has to be fixed. Hence many games get a quickfix at release for the most imminent bugs, then a TU a few weeks later that fixes the rest as well as any obvious balancing issues.
