The menu music for Halo 4 is unbearable. Sometimes I leave Halo 4 on while doing stuff on my computer, and its like some emo-classical music is playing in Halo now.
To be fair, this isn’t new to Halo 4 really. It was in Halo 3 to a minor extent I think, and definitely in ODST and Reach from what I remember. The music is just getting ridiculous. Its so annoying. I can’t stand it.
Why are we listening to soft, soothing, classical music… in a WAR game???
The music should either sound awe-inspiring and mysterious, like Halo CE did to capture the forerunner feeling of the Halos, OR it should sound bad *** and like we’re about to go into one serious fight, like Halo 2 had.
We’ve went from music like “Blow Me Away/Only the Strongest Will Survive” to Titanic music for crying out loud.
Not everything is supposed to be all about shooting, killing, and feeling bad***. If you know Halo’s story you’ll see that the music fits it well. This music makes me stop and think about all the events of the game and the wonderful story.
The vocals in the main menu music sounds like it was deigned to reflect ancient Greek singing. There’s all kinds of vids out there of Greek music with lyres and what not. It makes sense for them to put that in there because the story is about a Spartan.
Seriously, what else is there to complain/hate about in this game? Everything has been covered… If you don’t like the menu music, MUTE your TV like I do, I like it but it’s just repetitive and in order to not get sick of it, I just mute it when I’m doing other stuff. Really, what’s next, people not liking the name of the game?

Well, I actually meant main menus like Infinity and War Games and so on, not like the title main menu. The music on that one is ok, but would fit in with a game like COD better because it sounds like its straight out of Black Hawk Down.
And to another poster… seriously Halo 3 the best!!! It was really, really soft emotional tear-jerking sounding music. It didn’t sound epic, amazing, mysterious, or bad *** at all to me. I guess its just opinion though!
I just really loved Halo CE and 2’s music, and 3’s was alright. I feel like the games’ music has gone downhill since 3.

Hmmm… well Halo Reach 2 would almost be as appropriate if it wasn’t for the story lol.
