So my brother and I are trying to make a Halo 4 machinima, but we’d like to do it without buying a $50 piece of equipment.
If you save a theater file onto a flash drive, can you get the file straight off the drive? I know that people mod Halo 4 progress on their accounts by putting the profile on a flash drive, moving it to the computer, and messing with a file, so is there any way to extract a theater clip in a similar manner?

Umm, I don’t know. Are you doing this on the 360 or One with the MCC. Because if your doing this on the One you could record your clip up to 5 minutes then go to the Xbox DVR and maybe download it to your PC from there. Hopefully that made sense! Have fun making that machimina!

I pulled out my flash drive and put in in my computer, but all of the xbox files are unreadable. So, near as I can tell, you’d need some sort of screen cap software.
